I almost live in the gym lol. I had some trouble with the taper prior to the marathon, so I was lifting weights a lot lol (but I tapered the running like a good girl!). And then I was nervous about the marathon.
Sorry, I don't have a good excuse beyond "I got distracted"
I really do think I have it too. I can't concentrate on anything for very long, and don't talk to me while I'm counting reps while lifting or I'll lose count every.freaking.time.
Did I tell ya'll that when I went to do my taxes, we found out that walmart didn't take taxes out of my checks for all of 2012? So we ended up owing $2300 in taxes. We had to put $1400 of that on a previously paid-off credit card because we didn't want to drain our savings. And then both car batteries died within 2 weeks of each other. It's just ridiculous. So now we still have credit card debt after all of that time with 2 jobs. I guess the good thing though is that most of it is gone, we could handle a moderate emergency if one came up, and we owe less than $500 on the malibu. That'll be paid off by June I hope.

I would nut punch an HR rep for not withholding taxes! Why didn't they withhold? I will check out the blog in a little bit. Right now I need to finish up my letter.
In AWing fashion. I just applied for a real job. Like a job that is full time and year round. In payroll/HR. I am super excited.
I was soooo pissed off at the personnel lady who did it. She told me how to do the withholdings. I wasn't the only one it happened to. Strictly financially speaking, I needed to stay longer at walmart to get some extra money to take care of it. But emotionally I just couldn't take it any longer. I still go to walmart to visit the other money center girl, and they offered me a job on the spot last night if I'd stay lol. They said it wouldn't even matter that I wasn't in dress code lol.

Sorry. That really stinks. Hopefully you never have to or need to go back there to work.

I'm starting a sign language interpreter program in the fall. It's an associate's degree, and will take 3 years to complete. But all of the courses are available as evening classes. If I like it after the first semester, I'll stick with it. It'll be a much better back-up plan than walmart, and I would graduate right when the grant that currently funds my primary job runs out. Interpreter jobs start at $14/hr, and can go up to $60/hr, depending on your certification level. Walmart started me out at $7.65. Nationally certified interpreters get paid the highest, and you have to have a bachelor's degree (in any discipline). I've already got that, so I'll have a leg up on a lot of existing interpreters already.
If I don't like it, I'll just quit after one semester. We'll see. School starts Aug 19.
Sign language sounds awesome biomaj5. I have loved learning it (for work), and found it really helpful with kids. I don't know if I could ever do it fast enough to interpret, but it seems like a fun challenge. I hope it works out for you.

I hope it ends up being as cool as it sounds. I don't have a back up to the back up. Gnome once suggested I become a personal trainer, but since I've been working out for like 5 minutes, I don't think that's a very good idea until further down the road.
