I guess my name is alright. I don't really think about it much. Maybe I'd change it to Ann though, just because it's even easier and only has one spelling. Not because I like Ann better or anything.
My parents almost named me Georgia Evelyn, but changed their minds at the last minute. I constantly give them shit about that - I'd love to be Georgia Evelyn!

AnnE Shirley would disagree with you.
I like Margaret/Margot. There are a million nicknames and its my top choice if I have a daughter.
I hate my name. My whole life, the only other people I knew with my name were about 20-30 years older than me. It's an old-lady name. During my college years I went by a different formulation of my name that sounded younger, and I liked it. But I met H when I was living back in my home town where everyone knew me by my real name, so H calls me that, so that's what I go by. Now that I am kind of an old lady, I don't mind so much.
This is me EXACTLY. I hate my old lady name. I'd like to be Rachel or Kate.

I have an unusual first name and but love it and don't think about ever changing it. I would change my middle name though, and I have a common married last name that I love (after having a difficult maiden last name).

When I was on second grade I signed my name Genevieve (instead of Jennifer). They had a whole big parent conference about my "identity issues." Um, there were 7 Jennifers in my class! Try not to have identity issues!
