Tell us more. In 8th grade they had a career day where you were supposed to dress up like what you wanted to be when you were older. I was a phone psychic. Basically, I am an expert.
LOL. Did you sleep at a holiday inn express last night?
I had a dream I was in a house (not my waking life house, but I knew I was in my house--does that make sense?). I walked out on the balcony because I could smell smoke and heard fire engines. I look to my left and see smoke and flame pouring out of a house down the street and the fire truck pulling up. Then I notice something next door, I can see inside the house and it's on fire too but not the structure itself--the counters and stuff inside. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.
Then I woke up.
I've never had a dream about a burning house. I've had a recurring dream about being hunted down and hiding in a hotel since I was a teenager (I drove in the dream before I drove in real life). But nothing like this.
Are you feeling "burnt out", like it says? Or maybe you feel surrounded by something in your life that you want to deal with and confront? That was my thought when you mentioned the two houses on different sides of you, and then how you called 911.
Or, I guess if it's to do with intense sexual feelings, it would explain your sex dream, amirite?
You're a liar, liar, pants on fire! Except it isn't your pants. It is your house. Or maybe you're hiding something from yourself and the smoke is your metaphorical block and you are the house. Or maybe you are the house and you ate something for dinner that was spicy and you had fiery intestines.
I have been considering finding a counselor to help me talk the stuff out, so if it is all the issues maybe my calling 911 is finding someone to talk to about all of the stuff in my head?
Well it sounds like you are having anxiety over something in particular that doesn't feel TOO close yet, but it is getting closer. Hence the fire down the street, but then you see it next door.
Sounds like it may be the stuff you're bottling up?

LOL. It might, it might. I was really overwrought yesterday for no good reason.
But, there is stuff that I've been bottling up because I'm not sure how I want to deal with it too--so maybe it's a bit of both?
It's about the stuff you've been bottling up. Don't ignore it or it's become a raging fire.
I'm talking out of my ass, lol. I have no idea what it means, but if I had strong feeling about a dream, I'd definitely try to figure out what it was about. Dreams are no joke.
In a more serious reply, you totally should find an outlet for your feelings. Maybe your feelings are the fire and the smoke is your blocking of the feelings. You really want to talk about them but feel like it might be too hard to do that.
Cuddlyevil, I think you did a good job figuring it out with everyone's help. It sounds like there might be two separate things that are stressing you. It's good to hear that you're going to find someone to talk to.
I'm disappointed that dreaming of a fire fighter doesn't just mean you're horny. Not that I watched Joe Mangianello's fireman scene in Magic Mike multiple times in a row or anything.

LOL. Well, it could be that too--those definitions were a little on the sparse side.
"To dream of something being on fire represents issues that you are consumed by. A strong passion or prolonged obsession. Often a symbol for anger, intense bitterness or waking life situation that goes way to far. Something being on fire could also reflect the total loss of something. Alternatively, a fire may represent a problem in waking life that has gotten out of control."
"To dream of a fire escape represents your need to distance yourself from a harmful situation or problem people. You may feel like you need space. A fire escape may also reflect your wish to be independent or be self-sufficient if you had to. A plan that is your "way out" if a problem arises. "
"The number 911 in a dream represents feelings of emergency, life crisis, or an unpleasant challenge. Something you may be desperate to escape.
If you call 911 in a dream it reflects something in your life that you really want to go away. You can't stand something. A person or a problem that really bothers you or threatens you. Confidence, status, or power may be at risk.
If you call 911 in a dream and nobody will help you, this reflects a feeling of helplessness to get rid of a problem or threat."
