So we are going to paint three rooms right away in the new house. First will be dd's bedroom because it is currently a bright orange. Then we have the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. I'm at a loss of what to do. I've always gone into a project knowing exactly what I want to do, but I'm having such a hard time and pinterest is not helping me.
Here are two pictures of the kitchen, I wanted a grey, but not I'm not sure with the floor. Granted, we don't plan on keeping the floor the same, I just don't know when it will get done. We will keep the cabinets white.
Also there is one picture of one of the bathrooms. I'm also not sure what color. There are white built-ins when you first enter the room too, we will probably keep those white.

I like that color tamb. Do you happen to know the name of it? I've waffled back and forth between blues, greens and who the fuck knows.
They have some really bright colors in this house. The living room and master are the only neutral colors. One bedroom is bright orange, the other is bright blue. We'll keep the blue for now. The finished basement is a light yellow with I think a purply/blue color. We'll do that too at some point.
We have Benjamin Moore Smoke in our living room. It is kind of a blue gray, so maybe something like that wouldn't clash with your floors as much. Here's a random picture from Google.
I wonder if the previous owners were YHL fans because that kitchen sure looks like the same shade of grellow LOL. My kitchen is grey and I love it. I think grey is really neutral enough it will very rarely clash with anything (including your floors). We have a sandy/tan colored backsplash and the grey looks great next to it. I went really light because I like a really bright kitchen, it is Silverpointe by Sherwin Williams. Here is a picture from the internet that looks pretty close.
For the bathroom I think a really pretty light aqua color would look nice. I like putting fun colors in bathrooms. They are smaller so it isn't as overwhelming or something. Maybe something like this.

Ahh, so many options!
I'm glad you think all think a grey would look good in the kitchen. DH wanted a really really dark grey, but I didn't like that. I'm thinking we will meet somewhere in the middle with a mediumish one to bring out the cabinets. The room is very bright. It has the two windows, and then what you don't see if there is a 3-season room (which we plan to add heat to) by the 2nd window which is all windows.

We just put BM pale smoke in our bathroom. It's a lighter airy version of this. I'm very happy with it. It feels fresh and clean and perfect for the space.
