In my stack: The "His Dark Materials" trilogy (I was talking about it to someone at work and it made me want to reread them) "Little women" "The cats of tanglewood forest" (yes it's another kids book, but the premise and illustrations are awesome) "American Gods" (another reread) I might use some birthday money and buy "dance with dragons" but I'm not sure yet.
I just picked up The Gift of Fear and recommended in a thread last night. I am also reading the Sociopath Next Door as recommended last week in a thread. I feel the need to purchase books that people recommend that are self help, biography, or psychological in nature.
I have Skeletons at the Feast from the library. I have a request placed for Light Between Oceans. While I'm between library books I've been reading Vampires in the Lemon Grove on my Kindle.

I'm still trying to get through the first Game of Thrones. I wish I had known how many books there were in the series before I started. Anyone else read the series? Thoughts?
Not sure what I'm reading next, and since we're moving in two weeks I haven't had any time to read. H would not be pleased if I bought more books to add to the insane amount of crap we have to move already..

My H LOVED "Ready Player One". It is his favorite book ever, I think. He recommends it to everyone. He wants me to read it also, but I have so many books of my own to read.
I am in the middle of a Kathy Reich's book right now.
In my pile I have "Someday, Someday Maybe" Lauren Graham's new book. I am so excited about it! I have a book that my H got me. I can't remember the title right now. But, I will have to read it soon. He is so excited about it. I have a few more Kathy Reich's books. "The Locator" series, by Richard Greener. I finally found them at a Half Price books. Yay! There are a few books I don't have, but want to read and I want to reread a few books. I have a never ending pile of books to read.
Reading: the fault in our stars, good so far In my stack Great gatsby Paris by Edward Rutherford
I am so excited about this! Did you read his book New York?
I've been busy so I'm still on Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald I have in my Mariana by Susana Kearsley Paris by Edward Rutherford
Yes I loved New York! It was the first book I read by him and it was so good! I love Susana Kearsley, Mariana is on my TBR list let me know if its as good as it sounds!
I just finished The Round House. It was pretty good. I'd rate it 7.5/10 stars.
I have Gone With The Wind on my Nook that I'm thinking I might tackle next. I've never read it. Should I?
GWTW is worth reading. Margaret Mitchell gets a little carried away with descriptions so it can drag at parts. also be prepared it was written on the 30s about the civil war so there are some obvious cringe worthy words/moments (if I remember correctly the N word is used in a historically correct context for one) in it so keep in mind it's context when you read it.
also have you seen the movie? If so completely put it out of your mind they rewrote/reframed most of the story and changed some major points.
if you haven't and can manage the 4 hrs watch it after you read the book, it's a pretty fabulous movie.

I am reading book 4 right now. Stick with it, book 1 drags a bit but things really start to move in books 2 & 3. Right now, book 3 may be my favorite but there's a lot of stuff going on in book 4 so my opinion may change.

I have not seen the movie so I have zero expectations. :-)

Does the Round House ever get less boring? I never quit a book, but I felt like it just wasn't going anywhere. Should I go back to it?
Personally, not really. I really enjoyed it and felt like I learned a lot from it but it was not an exciting book. it read like a textbook to me, which I was OK with and just read it in that context.
