I did the zoom whitening a few years ago and it was worth every penny.
I am doing this Tuesday! I need to have two new crowns on my two front teeth, and my dentist wanted me to whiten first because then he can make the crowns the same colors.
Anyways, I'm getting really nervous about how much it hurts. They sent me home from my cleaning with like, seven tubes of Sensodyne with directions to brush as many times as I possibly can between now and Tuesday and to paste it on my teeth each night before bed.

I have sensitive teeth and it didn't hurt too much. There were moments I cringed because they hurt, but it was only for a second.
The suckiest part for me was not eating anything with food coloring for 24 hours afterwards.

I have had good luck with the home whitening strips and the Crest 3D white toothpaste. I also swish peroxide for a minute before I brush. It will maintain your white/whiten your teeth.

Um. Can you expound on this?! WTF doesn't have coloring in it!? No Coke? No coffee? OMG. Pasta? Plain, white pasta?
I hate mashed potatoes, drank lots of water, vanilla milkshakes. Definitely nothing with tomato, coffee, dark soda. Pasta was OK as long as I didn't use red sauce.

I went to the dentist and was fitted for tray whitenings. It was about 450 and worked really well. I only have to buy the 25 dollar gels when I want to whiten them again because I have the trays. It isn't as fast as the zoom procedure though. I had no pain or sensitivity with this method.
Yep. I just got some and have used it probably 3 days, and I can already see a difference.
I want to pick some of this up now! The Crest strips really hurt my teeth regardless of using Sensodyne toothpaste.
Me too. So I use it for half the time it tells me. Like if the directions are for 30 min 2x/day, I'll only do it once per day. It takes twice as long (2 weeks instead of one) but my teeth don't hurt as bad. I usually use the middle level (out of 5 levels.)
And it has to be crest. I've tried the other brands and generic, and none work as well as crest.
I did Zoom - it was only $125 with a Groupon and totally worth it. I have sensitive teeth so I could only get through two of the three 15 minute sessions but it still did a great job. It was over a year ago and my teeth are still pretty white.

Sent from my SPH-L710 using proboards
I second this. I only use half the number of times, and it has to be Crest. I have pretty sensitive teeth, and this worked really well - my dentist, who had been offering Zoom up to that point, dropped it because he said whatever I did at home did the trick!

LOL! you caught that it was just for 24 hours, right? and you can still have meat, fruit, veggies, etc etc.
haha, yeah. I'm fine on the FOOD front, it's coffee and wine (red) I'll miss the most. I could avoid food all day with the right amounts of coffee & wine.

I bought a groupon before for mall whitening.. my teeth looked amazing after.. but it faded in a few months. I did it before my wedding, so it was worth it.
Now I bought one of those home professional whitening kits, i use it every couple of days. I'm kind of obsessed with having white teeth, ha.
