Did you ever have one as a kid? How much money did you bring in? How much did you charge a glass?
I was running in a nicer/upscale neighborhood in my city today because I like to look at all the beautiful landscaping. I ran by some girls who were selling lemonade with their moms - they offered and I declined because I had no cash.
On the way back I saw their sign on the front of the table. It was $2 per dixie cup of lemonade. They were packing up for the day and one girl was on the cell phone saying Daddy - we made $106 today at the lemonade stand.
The most I EVER made was like $20 and I was out there all day and I CERTAINLY didn't charge $2 a dixie cup. I wonder what the little entrepreneurs will do with the money.
I did. I lived on a golf course so made a ton of money, lol. I think I averaged about $30-$40 a day, which is a ton of money when you're 10 and do it twice a week.

I am almost willing to be bet that it might be the neighborhood you were running in. I have seen them in our neighborhood before and the kids charge like 50-75 cents for a cup of lemonade.
FTR I did not have a lemonade stand when I was a kid,I was too shy for that.

My childhood best friend and I used to sell lemonade and tea cookies. Maybe charged a quarter or fifty cents. One day an elderly gentleman from the neighborhood gave us a ten dollar bill and told us to keep the change. We thought we hit the motherlode!
No lemonade stand but once my friends dad rented all these machines for her brothers birthday and didnt have to return them until Monday. So we took them to the corner and sold sno-cones, cotton candy and popcorn. I don't think we made much money, we just binged on the treats for the most part.

I never had a stand but my brothers did, I have no idea what they charged or made. The kids in my neighborhood have them on occasion. I like to stop if I have cash on me. It usually .50 or $1 a cup. A few weeks ago one of the girls was a bit older and had a bunny donation jar. I asked about it and she said her parents said she could get a bunny if she raised enough money. I wanted a bunny for years and years so I went ahead an donated to that. I hope she gets one!
Whoa. I was always way too shy to be out there, but my sister and her best friend would do them from time to time, and I think their best total was about $10 (and that was in the bff's fancy neighborhood). There are a couple kids that do them in our neighborhood occasionally, occasions I don't think they charge more than 50¢.
I have no idea what I charged, but I had one several days per week one summer when there were like 3 new houses being built on our street. Thirsty construction workers = $$$.
