After last year's horrible dry summer which basically killed our grass and turned our lawn into a weed patch and then forgetting to spread the fall fertilizer with broad leaf weed killer in it, we have a yard full of dandelions. It is horrible.
But I found this puller and it is freaking awesome. No bending over. Which would have killed me today given all that we pulled up.
It is from Fiskars.
I am in love. 5 Home Depot orange buckets of dandelions pulled from the backyard alone and I am not hunched over at all. DH got another 2 from the front yard but we still have a ton to get up.
I just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else had a dandelion infestation and wasn't keen on pulling them all up using the old school type puller.
Willow is sad however, because she loves to eat the yellow blossoms. This morning she was grazing like a cow, moving from plant to plant eating just the best blossoms.

Thanks for the rec! After a couple years of my H insisting on no chemicals, our back yard has *weeds* galore.
This year, I gave him a choice. Either he becomes the go-to weed killer, or I start spraying everywhere but the garden area. I'm hoping the first round of fertilizer/crab grass killer I put down before the last snow helps.
Less lawn = fewer dandelions. Make bigger beds and plant more plants!
I am working on it!
The backyard is getting a patio deck and a fire pit this summer so that will take away about 1/4 to 1/3 of the grass in the backyard. DH is thrilled. He would pave the entire yard if he had his way.
Still working on the plan for the front. We have our septic tanks and drain field in the front so we need to avoid planting anything other than grass over those areas.
Yes! I'll back you up on that. It's the best thing ever, I don't know why it's not more well-known. I used my MIL's but then had to go right out to buy our own. Got it for $20 at Canadian Tire last year.

Please come tell my dandelions to respect my flower beds. They haven't gotten this memo.
I feel you, nomad. Our entire front lawn is destroyed thanks to those damn asian beetles from 2 years ago. It's now all crab grass and weeds (dandelions, creeping jenney, etc.) and looks like hell. *sigh* I hardly expect the "Augusta" lawn (in fact, I find that kinda ugly and scary....monocrops are bad, yo!) but what we currently have es no bueno.
TD, our grass is the only thin that keeps me sane right now. A majority of our beds are full of weeds & poison ivy (our house was vacant after the homeowners passed away). It's going to take years to weed, plant, and mulch it all
Thanks for the recommendation! I got something kind of similar last year (called a Weed Hound), but it doesn't seem to work that well. I will try it once more, but I'm putting this one in my Amazon cart!
