It's been a while since I lived in a house with a crawl space, so I'm not used to them
We just got the inspection done on the home we're buying and it looks like in the crawlspace the ducting is flexible duct - is this common? For some reason I was thinking that the ducting was rigid, but I could be thinking of houses with basements vs. just a crawl space.
In our crawl space the main line is rigid and all the lines going out to the individual air vents are the flexible duct.
Is yours sitting on the floor? Ours has always been suspended from the floor joists. Dont know if that matters or not...
Most of it looks suspended - this particular piece had fallen and was kind of crushed.
We just got the inspection done today, so I think we're going to ask to have this repaired/replaced. I just want to make sure we're covering all of our bases
