Friday: Work was insanely busy. Went home and DH had an icy cold beer waiting for me We stayed home, watched baseball, and had a late dinner.
Saturday: Went to the Cinco de Mayo festival, came home and had a snacking dinner (stuff like a meat n cheese tray, fruit, veggie, dips, etc.) Watched baseball, played cards and then stayed up until 2 a.m. doing it.
Sunday: I was gone from 11:00 a.m. until around 8 pm. It was an Exhausting day.
Worked a lot, did a little bit of cleaning and laundry and ran around with the kids. Softball practice, volleyball games, softball pictures, formal dress shopping, etc.
H and I did get a date to see Ironman 3 and then went out to dinner where I got carded when I ordered my drink! It was fabulous
It was good but very, very busy. Saturday I was up at 5:30 am to finish laundry, then I did the CF Walk with family, played on the each for 2 hours, went to Walmart, the library and then my BFF came over and fixed me dinner.
Sunday I was up at 6am to put away all the laundry I washed, went out for Mexican and then hit up California Adventure the rest of the day. I now need a day to recover!! Lol!

The good: We had an amazing time at the zoo on Friday afternoon followed by pizza and ice cream. Saturday was communion parties and DS had a blast. He ran around with all of his cousins and I was able to have a glass of wine and adult conversations- I am liking this playing with others phast. Sunday we went to see Thomas the Train in Baltimore and had dinner with some family members.
The bad: the car DIED on our way home Saturday night. DIED. The dashboard went out, no headlights/turn signals, no radio, nothing. As soon as we managed to pull off at an exit. Bam. DEAD. At least we pulled off where we did or we would have been sitting ducks with no lights stuck on a bridge where there is no shoulder and that is a very scary thought.
The really bad: if the car isn't fixable we won't have one for at least a month because we can't look for a car and take out a car loan until our mortgage goes through. Best timing EVER.

It was fun. H's grandparents are in town from Colorado, so we spent some time with them. I honestly don't remember what we did on Friday, lol. Oh, I went shopping.
Saturday we went to San Diego with H's family. We had a picnic at Balboa Park, then walked around for awhile. After that, we went and had dinner. The weather was perfect and it was nice to be out of the heat.
Yesterday was my birthday and we went to my parents house for swimming and dinner. Then we came home and put the girls to bed and H and I watched a movie.
Our contractor got our septic system in on Saturday. One step closer to having our house! The lady from the county still has to inspect it and it has to be covered up but it's in!
Friday - Hart went to SIL's and H and I went out to dinner, came home and watched Campaign and had glorious sex
Saturday - met up with both SIL at the local gay fest, let the kids run around down town. Took Hart home and we planted the rest of the veggies in the garden, including two new blueberry bushes. Niece came over that night to spend the night. The kids played hard, ate tacos and crashed at 8. H and I watched Hunger Games
Sunday - Niece went home and we went to my dad and stepmom's for a birthday lunch for me, my sister and dad. Hart crashed on the way home and then we played with play-doh all evening after he woke up. Ended with more glorious wall sex and laundry
We didn't do a whole lot. I spent most of the weekend in a funk. I was exhausted all weekend---dead tired from sunup to sundown--and we saw some old friends yesterday afternoon that, while nice to catch up, only really reminded me of how much our life has changed in the last two years. It was kind of depressing.
On a brighter note, Andy's second week of swim classes went much better than the first. He spent most of the class singing at the top of his lungs--to the point that it was hard to hear the instructor. Lol.
J's mom is retiring in July, so as a present to her, we went and bought a '68 Cougar on Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend working on it.
It was in kinda rough shape but he got it running like a champ. I got the rear corner panel sanded down, he got a huge dent in the front right fender almost completely back into shape, parts have been ordered and plans are being made to drive it out there end of June/begining of July.
They had one when she and her H got married and now that he passed away we're hoping its something that'll bring back good memories for her.
Went to my friend's daughter's first communion on Saturday. Yesterday went to my mom and dad's to enjoy the weather (they also put in a sandbox for Ellie so she was trying it out).
My weekend was awesome - the weather was great and we were outside a majority of the time.
Saturday - I took the 3 y.o. to do Home Depot's free craft, then farmer's market, naps for all of us, watched my little cousins' baile folklorico group at a cinco de mayo festival with awesome mexican food and beer, then a relaxing walk around the botanical garden.
Sunday - Different farmer's market(lol), lunch picnic at the playground, then my family all came over for mole enchiladas and tres leches cake. And more mexican beer. Yum.
DH's grandmother passed away. Next weekend is our date weekend, the girls are going to other-grandpa's, and instead of having time alone together and spending the weekend at the casino he's flying to DC for a memorial service and I'm cleaning the house.
We all went out for a nice Sunday brunch. It was good but not $60 worth of good.
I did some gardening and bought flowers to plant in our front bed. Most of the kids in the neighborhood decided to help. I need to order enriched soil to level our our yard and give our grass somewhere to root and mulch for the bed and sideyard and our yard will be pretty enough to photograph. I should call the painting company to make arrangements to do that.
ering1115 That sucks about your car. If the worse happens and you need to replace it check with your mortgage person because we got DH a new car in the middle of buying a house. Our situation was a little different because we were waiting for a short sale at the time so not actively trying to get loan approval. Our mortgage broker had no problem with us buying as long as our monthly payments were under a reasonable amount. I hope it ends up being something small and fixable though. My car recently did something similar where everything seemed to die on the dash and the car would go but not accelerate so it topped out at about 10mph. It ended up being some sense and was only about $250 to fix.
My weekend was really great. It started out on Thursday when we went to see Iron Man 3 at the brand new Alamo Drafthouse that just opened. namasteak I see you went too do you go there to movies often? I was really impressed and can't wait to go back when I can enjoy the huge beer list. I hope we go back a lot before the baby comes.
Friday we had dinner with friends which was great because I didn't have to cook. Saturday we ran errands and again went to dinner at our friend's house so no cooking again. Yesterday we did yard work and then went to a Cinco de Mayo party so a trifecta of no cooking!

I worked my first Saturday shift, which was insanely boring, but yesterday was great. When we woke up H told me to get dolled up because he was taking me out on a "date day." We went minigolfing, got lunch, wandered around the mall, and then came home and played cards out on our patio. It was great to just get to spend the whole day together and outside enjoying the sunshine.
