The sister thread: My sister is pregnant and will totally steal my thunder, and also, she didn't do nearly as much research as I did and claims it's an accident, but I don't believe her, and I won't get as many presents now.
The sleep training thread: Tell me about this sleep training method. Poster 1: Here's the method. Poster 2: This method is bad. Poster 1: It's just one method, someone asked about it. Poster 2: Well, do whatever, but it's still bad.
The I've-opened-two-threads post: This board is argumentative lately / Yes, it is / no, it isn't / Everyone should be more supportive / yes, everyone should be more supportive and nice and people are total dicks.
This doesn´t sound like the Bump, it sounds like ML.

um, i think you mean poster 2: this method is bad AND WILL LIKELY KILL YOUR BABY AND/OR CAUSE YOUR CHILD TO FAIL TO THRIVE.
and now it's progressed to poster 2: you think i care? i don't care. whatever. except you're wrong.
which, to be fair, is how i end some of my arguments with my husband. ha.
I'm kinda with mel; any of those posts seem like they could have been over here. I mean, certainly the bitching about the sister; there have been plenty of newbs with immature gripes like that. The sleep training topic has come up here, although not nearly with the same fervor as the Bump. And the two threads post sounds similar to the old ML vs. new ML debate, right?
I should add: I am not defending any of those posts. There's a reason I didn't even read two of them, let alone respond. I still think it's incredibly tame over there compared to the Bump.
But let's see how I feel in August after you're long gone and a whole new wave crashes in from G(etting)P. lol.
It has been so dead over there. Posts last a week on the front page. A little drama is good for us. Unlike putting your baby in a crib in the next room. That will kill them.
And since I am an EXPERT because I have had two kids, and not just 14 weeks pregnant, I can say I very much agree with the french study. It was very similar to how we operated and I have two excellent sleepers.

Yes. I currently have only one excellent sleeper under my belt, but I am sure to have two soon.

I know, I would have said something about it being normal and common sense to "pause" when they first start to fuss, but by the time I read it (after LHC pointed it out here), the thread had already turned nasty.
Just the other day I heard Kate shout "Mommy!" during her nap, and then not a peep more. She slept at least a half hour more after that. I think she's an even better sleeper than Emily is/was because I couldn't always get to her right away even if I wanted to since I had another kid to take care of too.
