I must have bad karma because I'm sick again. Just the head cold/allergy/sinus garbage that I keep getting. I was just starting to get over the nausea but today all the sniffing and dripping is making it worse. On the bright side, I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and I get my nuchal sonogram in the morning!
Amelia is great. I just got my weekly email (16 month week 2) from Baby Center and it talks about the running away stage and she's so there. It reads that they usually grow our of it by 18 months to 2 1/2 years. I'm just hoping its before baby #2 arrives, or I'm too rolly polly to be able to catch her. She's great company though when she's not running away.
I have the sinus garbage going on and causing me to cough a lot especially at night. The joys of this and just having a baby = incontinence even after I've emptied my bladder (or so I thought). I think my coughing fits have caused me to pop a stitch as well. Thankfully I didn't cancel my 41 week appointment.
T is adjusting better than expected to O being home. He does have his jealous moments but they are not as horrendous as I thought. We are keeping him involved in the daycare program 2 days a week until the end of this month and then will go to summer camp 3 days a week for 5 weeks.
T also has an evaluation with Early steps next week for his speech delay. Hoping we can get some answers and started on therapy right away.
O is doing well. He is such a cuddle bug and doesn't like to be left alone for long. He has been nursing well, although the engorgement just started and he doesn't empty me completely but I know my body will adjust.
D's party invitations came in the mail today. I've got to get them out already. I hate addressing envelopes. Ugh. On the bright side, his birthday is approaching quickly. I'm really excited.

Sara- I had cold/allergy/sinus problems for about 6 weeks in early pregnancy. I never thought I was going to get over it. My body just either couldn't fight it off completely or I just kept getting back to back colds with my weakened immune system.
Things have been just a little more hectic than I would like to be at the end of pregnancy. My H was out of town for work, and he came back with a GI issue that is severe enough he needs surgery this week. I'm so glad he's getting it right away so hopefully he can recover before we have the baby. But there goes probably goes his ability to take more time off after she is born. I'm hanging in there, but I am dealing with viral conjunctivitis. In both eyes. It can't be treated with antibiotics, and it just has to work it's course and could take weeks, so I'm just praying it is gone before I give birth. I'm actually hoping at this point, she takes her time and doesn't come early!
Oh, and last week my doctor told me to expect another 9 pounder, but I make big babies so that didn't surprise me much
My appt with the Dr was interesting. There is a formula for calculating VBAC chances, who knew? She said I have a 51% chance of having a VBAC, whatever that means. I'm still going to try, as the percentage is not chance or lack of chance of rupture, she wasn't at all concerned about that. I just know there are certain circumstances that, if presented, I know to say do the c-section. She also said I'm not allowed to go more than a week over. Lady, in August, I wouldn't allow that for myself, trust me! Oh, and she told me the surgery report listed Q as being partially turned sunny-side up. I had never heard that before, neither had DH. That kind of ticks me off that they couldn't at least tell me after surgery what the issue was.
Other than that, things are good. I'm looking forward to the weekend, as its my birthday Friday and Q's school has their Mother's Day Tea that morning, plus his Spring Program is Thursday night. I can't believe these are his last Pre-K events. Sniff sniff.
So I had my nuchal ultrasound today and the fluid looks normal and we wait for the bloodwork now. H got a little cocky and asked the tech if she had a guess as to the sex even though its SO early. She said she doesn't usually like to guess because she's been wrong lots of times, but she showed us 3 horizontal lines and said it might be a girl. I'm still feeling boy though so we'll just have to wait and see. But ish is really getting real now. There is enough of a baby in there to make a guess now? What??
I am 6 weeks today. No symptoms to speak of-- little tiny things here and there but they could probably be attributed to anything. I'm glad I don't feel sick but I wish I had sore boobs or something. It's weird when I have those stretches of time when I forget I am pregnant! I have my first ultrasound next week. I'm going to be so nervous and excited...
Shane is becoming so expressive lately. He babbles all the time, and seems so attentive to everything we say and do. Yup, I've become a total weirdo who does crazy things because I know it makes him laugh.

Lauren(9317), I'm so excited for you. Can't wait to hear about your first ultrasound!
Lauren (babybchbum), I haven't yet said congrats! Glad to hear things are going pretty well so far as a family of 4.
Kim, I had no idea there was a formula for VBAC chances. So weird! I'm hoping to have one myself when the time comes (nobody read anything into this - I am far from pregnant). My previous OBs were on board with that but since we've moved I'll have to find new doctors. It makes me nervous - I wish I could've stayed with the ones who really knew my history. I hope you can have the birth you want!
Sara, sorry you've been sick but yay for lots of baby in there.
Ellie is still working on walking. She takes a few steps here and there pretty regularly but still much prefers to crawl. It's totally silly, but we're going to March with the Ducks at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis at the beginning of June - is anyone familiar with this? It's on my bucket list. These ducks live in the hotel and spend the day swimming in the fountain in the lobby. They live in a "duck penthouse" on the roof and each morning the Duck Master goes up to get them and they come down on the elevator then walk a red carpet up to the fountain. We booked a package that will let us be honorary duck masters for the day! So I really want Ellie to be walking by then to walk with the ducks, haha. Kind of silly but how cute would that be?!
Aside from that we're in teething hell. She's working on 2 teeth for sure and I suspect a third. She is not handling it gracefully. We had FINALLY just gotten a GREAT schedule down (including sleeping through the night for the first time in 7 months PLUS a 3-hour nap during the day), but now that's all shot. Crazy babies really know how to screw with you.

I had to stop taking Zoe to the parks by myself towards the end because I couldn't chase after her anymore. The best was when I was at the park with her, she climbed on the play structure (the big kid one - eek!) and I got stuck trying to get through this one part. I really didn't think I was going to make it for a second there lol!

Don't pay any attention to the formula. That is just the medical profession trying to medicalize something that is completely natural. You're delivering at my hospital, right?
I promise, I will get the VBAC info as soon as I can. Its been a little hectic here with the in laws and my nasty stomach virus. Bleck.
Zoe is really talking in little sentences lately. I blows my mind how just 3 months ago she was finally starting to say more words and now she is forming sentences. She cracks me up, too. She says and does the funniest things.
Jack is finally sleeping in more 5 and 6 hour stretches. He also started smiling, finally! ANd he makes the cutest little cooing sounds. I just love him!! He loves being worn in the wrap. I can't wait to learn more positions!
Lily's birthday party is probably going to be on July 27th. Hang in there until then, or you will be starting on the wrong foot with Lily. Not a good idea, my friend. PS, it will be indoor and air-conditioned.
Things are going well here. Except that I'm home with a sick kid. Again. FEVERS! I'm tired of them. But soon enough she won't get exposed to all that sickness at daycare and I won't have to leave work early because I put in my resignation today. I'm changing careers and heading into the stay at home mom lane. I never ever saw myself making this choice, but I'm really, really happy.
Kate - Yay for your resignation! And since I'm not due until 8/12 and Q was 5 days late, I'm not worried about nameless baby coming that early. Although it probably wouldn't be too upsetting at that point, since I'm flippin' hot already.
Jen - Yes, I'm delivering at TGH. And I'm not overly concerned with the formula, I more found it interesting that there even is one. I'm definitely taking it more as it comes this time. I definitely feel more at ease with whatever happens.
Meghan - She'll probably be running by then! That sounds like a fun trip.
I feel like I haven't been here in forever! Congrats Lauren! I don't know your back story, but it sounds like this has been a long time coming and I can totally relate to that. H & H nine months and uneventful, easy delivery wishes to you! Also Congrats to the other Lauren on your new arrival, loved the family picture!
Mia turned one, where did the time go?! I was so stressed out about her party, which is so silly, it turned out great and I think all of the littles that were there had a good time. Mayette made her cake, it was delicious and beautiful...highly recommend! Here is a total AW of her pro pics, once I finish going through the ones of her actual party I will get a cake pic up!
Mia is walking when she wants to, still very wobbly at times but has walked up to seven steps. H and I are taking a weekend at the Hyatt next weekend and one of my best friend's is staying at our house with Mia...I'm looking forward to it and anxious all at once! We haven't done an overnight yet, but at least we will only be 30 minutes away.
I am happy to report that we are bottle free! Mia had to lose the bottles for her move to the toddler group at daycare and we just did it all at once. She is drinking WCM from her sippy like a champ! She still seems to prefer water more often..which is fine.
