I have survived day 1 as a puppy owner

We have had about a dozen naps in the crate, four pees and two poops outside, one little pee inside and a walk around the block. She's done somewhat OK in the crate, when she crashes for a nap it doesn't seem to matter where she sleeps so we keep putting her in there and she's fine. She has raised holy hell a couple of times though. Hopefully tonight goes well!!

She also did really well on the walk. I thought she'd get about 5 feet on the leash and I'd have to carry her the rest of the way, but she wanted to run almost the whole block! I was really surprised as it was her first time on the leash, but she did really really good.

:Y: Yay for a good first day! Zoey was great in her crate almost immediately, with the exception of some crying the very first night (which I attribute more to being away from all her siblings than actually being in a crate).

Hope things have continued well. Can't wait to see more pictures!

We named her Ella Jay. She did great today, no accidents in the crate and one pee in the house. She loves to play in the yard amd got a bath tonight
