I woke up today with both eyes completely swollen, red, itchy and they burn. In the past I go to my GP and he gives me a steriod shot and I'm much better by the next day. Now that I'm PG do I still call him or do I now call my OB and see what he says first. I haven't had my first appt yet with my OB either ( that's Thursday ) what do I do?

I did call and he said no and he doesn't recommend anything for the first Tri. So if anyone has any all natural PG safe remedies please post them here :/
Yeah, I was in the last tri when I did steroids, didn't think about that.
Can you take benadryl or zyrtec?
Also, I hot shower usually helps me when my allergies go nuts.
They said I can take Benadryl but that knocks me out and I have my girls to take care of. I think I'm going to go get a nettipot and try that. Thank you for your help.
I think you can take benadryl - but that would make you sleepy.
My OB ok-ed the following for allergies and colds: Afrin, Allerest, Benadryl, Chlor-Trimeton, Cold Control+, Contac, Coricidin (plain only), Dristan Cold & Flu, Drixoral (non-drowsy formula), Medi-Flu (without drowsiness), Novahistine DMX, Ornex (regularor maximum strength), Sine-Off, Singlet, Sinutab, Sudafed, Teldrin, Theraflu, Tylenol, or Vicks products.
I would double check with your OB first before taking any, I'm pretty sure all OB's agree with benadryl though.
As someone else mentioned, hot shower! Also spice food or hot soup might help too. Being in the first-tri though I wouldn't blame you of spice food or soup sounded icky.
