I love that I got a sneak peak at your bedding in the photo you posted on FB yesterday. I know you weren't aiming to showcase your linens, but it looks awesome!
Ha! Thank you! I actually only chose it because of the ones in my price range that would go with my lake blue curtains it was the one I disliked the least. But now that it's on my bed I'm loving it! I didn't have a bed skirt so anything was an improvement once I put that on (good times getting a bed skirt on a king bed by yourself btw). It's the perfect thickness and I'm really loving the pop of red. It makes my room cheerier. Now I need something red for the wall to tie it together.
Aegis I love that canvas you're painting, its personal to you guys as a couple and fitting exactly how you want it. That is something that I would love to do! Will you update once it's done?

I was unhappy with the lack of "crispness" in the lettering, so I'm trying a different path. I made a "poster" and had it printed at Staples for $2.14. I've modge podged it on the canvas, and it's wrinkly, but I found a technique for sanding and staining some of the wrinkles that are supposed to make it look more like a distressed wood. I'm hoping to get it done this week, and if it looks good, I'll post pics If not, I have a feeling I'll be trying something different - because I get picky sometimes.
Wasthe canvas raw or treated? I took a painting class in college and when we used raw canvas we treated it with 2 layers of gesso first. That helped to get sharper lines. The modge podge sounds cool, I'm curious to see if it turns out.
