Losing My buddy

I recently had a lot of changes in my life which have put me in the position that I can no longer dedicate as much time to my dog Bruce. Because of this, my ex has agreed to take care of him for me. This is one of the most difficult things I have had to do and I just don't know how to deal. I know this is the best thing for him. I just wish it didn't hurt so bad to have to send him away. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

((hugs)) I'm sorry to hear about that. Is your ex good with Bruce? Will he be well taken care of? If so, take some comfort in the fact that your buddy is being taken care of vs in a shelter somewhere, where his future kind of hangs in a balance until he finds a forever home.

Yes, he is overly indulgent with him sometimes, so I know Bruce will be super happy and well taken care of.

Is there anyway you'll still get to see him? Maybe even take him for weekend sleepovers?
