Fiance just left for work, and I was thinking I might get a jump start on some painting tonight. I have all these half-finished rooms (like, that have been half-finished for YEARS because I would just lose steam and never get back to it) and we've made a pact that this coming weekend since we'll both be home, we're going to knock out as much as we can.
It is a well-documented fact that when he is home alone, he is so much more productive than I am when I am home alone. The fact that I'm even writing this post is proof of that, because I really don't feel like going upstairs and breaking out all the paint supplies.

I've been painting the upstairs bathroom for about three weeks. And when I mean painting, I mean all the painting shit is up there. I haven't actually started.

Yeah Melinda, that's kind of how I am, only worse.
FIVE YEARS AGO, when I moved into this house, one of the first things I did was paint the living room. But then after the first coat on the walls, I decided I didn't really like the color. So my brilliant plan was to let it sit for a while and decide whether I really like it or not before doing the second coat, in case I decided to change the color. For this same reason, I never finished the trim. It still needs a second coat.
So instead of just finishing one room at a time, I decided to paint one of the spare bedrooms upstairs (when I got motivated again, like 2 years later). Finished all the walls, but didn't like the trim color. So I abandoned it.
Finally decided like a year after THAT on what color I wanted to trim to be, so I bought that, along with paint for ANOTHER spare bedroom. Decided to paint the other bedroom first, because there was a bookcase in the first bedroom that I wanted to move into the second, so figured I would finish painting the 2nd, move the bookcase, and then finish the 1st. So the 2nd bedroom got the first coat of paint, but then I just ran down and never got beyond that.
