Ugh They both need to get their teeth cleaned but Tiger can't because he is obese (weighs 8,86kg and should weight 4,5kg) and Puce can't because she has a heart murmur. So Tiger needs to lose half his weight (but she said if he loses 2,5kg which I think is like 6lbs she will be happy, lol because what are the odds?) and Puce needs blood work and X-rays and maybe to see a cardiologist.
Pet mom of the year!
Oh and I was out of coffee and didn't have any yet. I could kill for a coffee right now.
I am sure your vet has told you this, but don't feed them the amounts they tell you on the can/bag. most times, your pets should eat a bit less than the suggested amount.
Cleo, I am actually feeding much less than the recommended amount. He does finish Puce's bowl sometimes, but I can't imagine he eats that much in a day.
I'm going to get his lazy ass moving. I am going to buy a harness and bring him on walks (omg, lol). And supervise him like a hawk to make sure he doesn't get even an extra bite a day. Hopefully we can get him to lose something. He can't take diet food because of his urinary issues, so we have to go the old fashioned way.

DH was laughing and I was like "You realize if he doesn't lose this he may get diabetis and will need daily insulin shots, right?".
No, he didn't realize. That and Puce's heart murmur, and I could literally SEE my dream of adopting a dog flying out the window. DH thinks vet costs are ridiculous and there is no way he will agree to add to the vet bills.
aw, that's a bummer. We have had pretty good luck with Oscar and Cleo, never had major health issues. It's the luck of the draw. We do work hard to keep Oscar trim, being a Pug with challenged breathing as it is.
Getting cats to lose weight is rough. GL with that!
I hope you have a Starbucks drive-thru nearby.
Starbucks? Pfff...
papie aren't you from Canada? In which case you need to find a Tim Hortons STAT....so right around the corner! (Tim Hortons in Canada are soooooo much better than the Timmy's in the States!)

LOL
I am a total coffee snob, no Tim's or Starbucks if I can help it. I bought espresso grains at the store and am now enjoying a homemade ice latte.

I have my dogs teeth cleaned but not my cats! And look, this cardiology stuff is a load of crap. My cat had a murmur and they talked me into him seeing the 'specialist' for an echocardiogram. $400 later the specialist says 'study unable to be completed due to patient temperament'. lol, also his murmur turned out to be insignificant.
This was Mr. Meatball, my huge/asshole male cat who also gives the best snuggles at night:)
LOL!!!! I am dying at the bolded.
They have pretty bad gingivitis, I have been pushing back for a couple of years already, but now I think their teeth got to the point where we really MUST do it.

*GASP*
Isn't that un-patriotic for a Canadian to not drink Tim's! However, if you will come make me iced lattes every day I won't report you to the authorities.
