These started coming up as compost volunteers and I just sort of let them go in areas where I had space. I know it's some type of squash related plant. I see buds started, but no flowers yet. Based on what I composted last year I think the odds are that it's a butternut, delicata or zucchini.
Please, when these started coming up it was where I planted the lettuce and carrots so I was insisting that it must be one of those. I have a friend who is an experienced gardener and she was like "lady, that's something in the squash family". I didn't believe her until I found a big ball of sprouted seeds that had obviously come from the compost =)
