I have already been spending way too much on summer clothes for the girls and summer maternity clothes for me.
I plan on wearing sneakers for our three days in the parks. The sneakers I have at home are running sneakers and Converse, and I don't find the Converse comfortable enough for that much walking.
If I don't buy anything new, I will have to wear these sneakers:
But to wear casually with shorts, I would rather something more neutral, like these:
This is stupid because the parks will be filled with people in jorts, so I should save myself the $100 and just wear the running sneakers I have, right? H would very much appreciate if you agree. lol.
Aside from the fact that the second pair are, um, NMS, I would question whether or not you're planning to wear the running shoes again for running. If so, don't wear them to the park. Are you sure the second pair will be comfortable? It would stink to buy a new pair of "comfy" shoes only to find out that they're not comfortable three hours into Disney.
I think your regular running shoes are fine and I have always done well walking the parks in my reefs, the ones with arch supports.
By the way, I have a bunch of summer mat stuff if you are interested. Short sleeve shirts, tanks, and a dress or two and shorts. Let me know if you are interested.
I even have a nice mat tankini, which has been washed and washed, but let me know if that is too much. lol
lol, @booby. They were the least geriatric looking pair of light sneakers I could find. And I love flip-flops but I know I'll be better off wearing sneakers.
sameoldash, the whole reason I chose them is because they're neutral. I don't like colorful sneakers for anything other than running. Heck, if my usual running shoes came in gray and white, I'd buy a dozen at once.
If you wanted to justify a new pair of shoes, you should get something different from what you already have (ie: not another pair of sneakers)
Sperry Topsider boat shoes make awesome walking shoes, and they adorably dorky-chic in my opinion. I have the bluefish 2-eye style in the brown deerskin, and they're going to be my go-to shoe for trekking around China later this month comfortably without looking like a soccer mom.

I actually hate sneakers at Disney because my feet get hot and angry. I like Teva Mush flip flops, or I have this other pair of Tevas that are, unfortunately, very croc-like that I would never wear outside an amusement park. They are so effing comfortable, though. I think it's the Dozer style?
jens, I actually ordered a pair last week but they are backordered and not scheduled to ship until June. That's what I get for waiting for a good deal.

Oh, and cleo29, you are too sweet! Thanks for the clothes offer. Like I said, I've already done plenty of shopping so I should be all set...for now. I'll let you know if I'm already sick of everything by June, though!
I did look at Keens and Merrells too but they are generally nms, although my mom swears by these when she travels:

Just keep me posted, the clothes are not going anywhere.
I bought new pair of shoes similar to those when I went several years ago to Disney and ended up with terrible blisters and buying some Minnie Mouse flip flops. lol

lol! I would rather avoid that, especially while pregnant.
chilerellanos, we plan on avoiding the water rides/attractions anyway so we don't have to deal with soggy kids.
RexManningDay, I have seen them at DSW but held off because they weren't the style/color I really wanted. Plus I got a really good deal during the Bloomingdale's shoe sale last week so they were almost half price.
I will stick to the sneakers and flip-flops I have. Thanks, all!
