Why didn't the person with the braces have the second row removed?
I'm going to guess that since your upper teeth are only protected by a small piece of skin before it opens up to your sinus's that taking out the teeth might pose the risk of not closing and causing openings to the sinus. Which might lead to infection.

Haha, I said it was hyperdontia! And I had to save it to my pics on my phone and then try to delete it w/o looking at it again!! I might not even be able to come back in here!!!

My brother and I both had extra molars that grew inside of our regular row of teeth. We each had 2, 1 on each side. We had them removed after they grew in.
I also had an eye tooth that was laying on it's side above my other teeth - inside the gums, not exposed. The pulled another tooth to make room for that eye tooth and then ,uses a wire to grab the eye tooth and pull it down in to place. My niece had the same thing but when they pulled her tooth down it didn't have roots and it come out. They had to put a permanent false tooth in for it.I
When I was 6, I had two sets of incisors come in on the top. When I was 8, I had two sets of incisors come in at the bottom. All of the extras were removed. Later on, I had two micro-canines pop up, but they weren't a big deal apparently, so they're still there.

I didn't look closely at the pic but I've seen some of those before, most if not all are fake. I've seen a few extra teeth, I think the most I saw on one person was maybe 5? It's really exciting to find an extra tooth actually, I walk around the office showing the xrays to all my coworkers
