So I'm on the fence about what to do. I am 16dpiui with 3 bfns and no AF. With my typical cycles, AF normally wouldn't come until like Monday or Tuesday next week. I had planned to just wait til then before calling my Dr to see what to do.
But Dr typically is off on Fridays, and I'm heading out of town for the day tomorrow. Will be gone all day, so even if she would come in and see me if AF starts, I wouldn't be able to do it. And then the weekend is here. Im worried about starting and not having access to get my new round if Femara or checked for cysts.
Now I'm wondering if I should call today and see what Dr thinks. Before heading into the weekend not knowing what might happen. This is my first IuI so I'm not sure what to do.
I would just keep waiting for AF. My cycles are several days longer on meds, than they have been off. With Clomid (not sure if it's the same for Femara), you have to do a cyst check within the first 5 days of your cycle, and then start meds. If you have 5 days, you could start AF today and still be ok to go in Mondy.
Or, no harm in giving your doc a call to see what she thinks.
ETA - I'm surprised your RE isn't available on the weekends. What if you need to do an IUI?
She will come in on the weekend if needed, but as far as I know that's planned out. Like I've gone in on Sat for a recheck on a cyst before. I start my Femara on CD3 so my cyst check would need to be before that. She usually does it CD1.
I don't want to be the patient who's calling too soon about stuff, but at the same time, I guess I dont want to miss our window of time if something happens. Were taking June/July off of TTC, so in slightly paranoid about missing May if my cycle doesn't cooperate, you know?

If you are worried about it, call. What's the worst thing that will happen? The nurses might peg you as one of "those" people who calls a lot, but hey, you are a) spending a lot of money here and b) by far not the most annoying person they will deal with today.

I hear you on that. I'm constantly trying not to be the crazy lady that calls all the time. I'm fairly sure that Femara can be started between CD 3 and 5, though.
I called. She said to wait until Monday and call either way and she'll get me in. Which is fine with me, I just needed confirmation that was ok to do. And you may be right about the femara, since I've only been on it for one cycle. I don't have anything to compare to.
I think I try to be an easy patient, since I've been on the other side of this situation. So I feel bad calling when its something I could potentally figure out on my own.
