sake! and any other diabetics who have been pregnant before! Before you found out you were KU with G did you notice a fluctuation in your sugars more so than you're used to? Were they higher/lower than normal early on? Just curious if I should watch out for anything.
I was not on insulin when I got pregnant. I was on 2 kinds of pills, and they weren't working, so I made the transition to insulin right after becoming pregnant... Like I got knocked up April 8th, started insulin April 12th and got my BFP may 6th. So my sugar levels were kind of all over the place in April, bc of adjusting dosages and stuff.
In my first tri they went low a lot though, which I had never experienced before and was very sudden and scary. 2nd tri they were average and 3rd tri I had to increase my insulin.
This is good to know! Thank you! I've been running high today and I'm annoyed because nothing seems to be bringing it down. And that slightly crossed my mind that it could be due to being pregnant, but I highly doubt it. I think it's wishful thinking haha. There is no way I'm getting pregnant on the first try, not with my medical luck.
Anyway, thanks!! I'm always nervous when my sugar starts to deviate from normal. I'm all OMG I'M KNOCKED UP. Newp. Not even close.
sake tagging so you see! Sorry I totally didn't actually check the thread before mentioning it in the other thread!
It could be high because of a baby... Have you been charting? I would test if I were you, but I'm CRAZY about testing. I used to test almost every month bc I was so scared of being pregnant... Then once it was positive. I was also notorious for getting my period AS I was testing, lol
I am charting, not temping though. I'm on CD16 and I think I either ovulated yesterday or will soon (today or tomorrow) if I havent yet. I'll test next week-ish if I'm late. haha I'm usually right on time on BC but I haven't been off BC while my pitutary tumor has been under control, so I have no idea if I'm regular ha. But hopefully I am.
