2nd round of acupuncture. B/c you totally care, right?

I think I'm becoming addicted.

I left the last two appointments with an incredibly zen-like feeling. Very chill, very content. Traffic didn't bother me, 50 new emails didn't bother me. I was very much like post-hypnosis Office Space dude.

The first session was mostly talking and then a round in my back, which she said hits all the major organ groups and serves as a first "clearing out" session. It is supposed to shake things up and get your body ready to receive the rest of the treatments. She also said that within the first 24-48 hours after this clearing out treatment, people can experience repressed emotions/trauma that's been blocked or stuck. She said it's common to be extra emotional and/or sensitive over that time period, and for me, I might experience a strong anxiety session and/or an eczema outbreak. I did blow up with a rash, but I can't exactly say if it was related to the acupuncture. I kept waiting to burst into random tears or have dreams about a past trauma or something...but I didn't.

Last appointment was a more targeted treatment with needles in my feet, hands, ears and one in the middle of my forehead! I could look up and see it sticking out, which was STRANGE. She said the ones in my feet would help with PMS and cramps, and I'm shocked to say that I haven't had a single cramp or period-headache these past few days (normally, I'm curled up with the heating pad).

I'm still waiting to see a reduction in eczema, but nothing yet :-(
