Our air conditioning isn't working. It's 85* in my house. I'm 33 weeks pregnant. H doesn't want to go to a hotel. No one can fix it until "sometime" tomorrow and they quoted us about $1000. Kennedy is getting two molars and she's (literally) a hot mess. I'm one cranky mama right now. That's all.

I told H that this is why I hate being a home owner, and that I miss renting. I wish I had a man in droopy pants fixing mine! I didn't win the hotel argument. He doesn't think it's "that bad." He flies out in the morning. If they don't get this shit fixed I'm going to my mom's house.

Is he the one with an internal furnace? You're growing the human, he can get the AC fixed.
Please tell me he's not seriously considering leaving town and leaving you quite pregnant with a cranky baby with no AC. That's completely absurd.

Sadly, yes. He had to fly out this morning for one big meeting. I've got someone coming "around 5" and I'm making desperate attempts to find someone before that. Especially since Kennedy has two in home therapy sessions this afternoon. I'm not a happy person today.
When I was pregnant I was always hot and uncomfortable (of course) and I kept my AC on 72 around the clock and was still hot and everytime my mother in law came over the first words out of her mouth were "it's freezing in here" every.single.time. There were always comments like "we are going to need to get the baby lots of warm clothes and blankets, you keep it soooooo cold in your house". It made me irrationally angry. I can't imagine how angry I would be if the house was 84.

I'm so bitchy, I pity any one who has to cross my path today. I finally got someone out here to fix the damn thing and he had to call and get a motor ordered from the warehouse! He said they would drop it off in an hour and he'd be back soon to install it. It's been almost 2 hours and they still haven't dropped it off. The good news, it's only going to cost $320 instead of the $1000 or so they originally quoted.
