Ever since I got glasses that I really like, I wear them more than contacts. It felt weird for a bit but now it's becoming more of a normal feeling. I try to make sure that my eye makeup is a bit more accentuated when I wear them though. Otherwise, I feel like I can look a bit mousy.
My old co-worker thinks she can't hear as well when she occasionally wears her glasses instead of contacts. Is that a thing?
Hear? I think she's crazy. See? I dont think I see as clearly in glasses.
It's so funny, she tells you to talk louder because she's wearing her glasses, it's like that episode of the Simpsons where Homer's on the phone and says "you'll have to speak up, i'm wearing a towel".
She honestly thinks she can't hear as well when she's wearing her glasses.

I can kind of understand where she is coming from. I hear the same in my glasses or contacts - but I can't have a focused conversation wearing sunglasses. I have to take them off to talk with people even if it means giving them the squinty eye.

Per my eye doc, I am supposed to cut down on the time I wear my contacts. I splurged on a new pair of glasses and sunglasses (MM because I have a good amount of FSA funds to use) in the hopes that my cute new eyewear will encourage me to not rely on my contacts as much. I know that I will need to vamp up the eye makeup though - at least wear mascara because I usually go without.
