I hope I'm ok posting this in here since I know a lot of you girls have been pregnant before. I'll be 5 weeks today according to FF of when I O'd. Friday I started spotting and it continued until yesterday afternoon. I called the dr friday and she said as long as it isn't heavy bleeding or strong cramps then it can be normal. I'm freaked out though. I feel like I have no symptoms. Last week my boobs hurt and now they don't at all. I had light cramping all last week but nothing bad. Yesterday I felt a little pain a couple times that was quick, but it was down toward my left ovary. Almost felt like when I had cyst pain. So then that had me worried yesterday but it went away.
I go in tonight and wed night for blood draws. I'm just nervous if this is something bad - chemical pg, tubal, etc. I'm trying so hard to stay off the internet but it's hard! I'm hoping they give me the numbers right away. I heard to not read into the first number, as long as it doubles then that's good. So basically life is hell until wednesday night.
And it doesn't help that my stress reliever is running but I haven't gone since last weekend until I get the clear. Esp with the bleeding I tried to lay low all weekend.
Ive never had a m/c but since your going in for b/w starting today, Id stay away from the internet. Try to relax and not stress too much until you know what's going on. And let your doctor know what's going on so she/he is clued it.
Sorry your stressing I know I would be too. I hope its nothing bad.
I had an early miscarriage/checmical pregnancy back in June 2010.
I agree with G22 - stay away from the internet/Dr. Google. Keep an eye on your symptoms and call your doctor if you have any changes in your symptoms: when I first started cramping & spotting, I called my dr's office and told them what was going on - they told me the same as you, light cramps & spotting can be normal. Later that same afternoon I started having stronger cramps & started bleeding more like a period; I called my dr's office and they had me come in that afternoon.

Good thoughts your way. I had some spotting and at one time even a big rush of red blood. I was sure it was over but my betas kept rising and we saw a heartbeat after that. I did end up miscarrying but the spotting was completely and totally unrelated, so try not to stress about that. There are tons and tons and tons of women on the internet who have spotted and have gone on to have take home babies.
My miscarriage started with some light spotting and cramping but within an hour was really heavy, passing clots type bleeding and worse than normal cramping. I know people who have spotted/lightly bled through entire pregnancies and had healthy babies. Don't freak out too much yet!

I'm sorry you are dealing with the stress. My doctor has always told me bleeding is no sign of anything during pregnancy because it can be a sign of anything so not to worry about it unless it is excessive. Even then it can be nothing.
I hope you get good news! Like others said, spotting can mean anything. I had spotting with my first m/c, but no spotting with my second m/c.
I don't want you to get your hopes up, so just FYI, you probably won't get your beta numbers back today. I had lots of betas drawn, and they would usually call me the next morning with them, unless they were drawn in the morning, then they would call me that afternoon. Like you said, the first number doesn't mean much. Once you get the second number, then you should be able to see how the pregnancy is progressing. Until then, try to relax
Just popping in to tell you to stay away from the internet. It does nothing but rile you up. Would a nice walk make you feel better since you can't run? Maybe just being out in the air will help you relax a bit.
