Lauryl will be 7 months tomorrow. Time truly is flying by... she can clap her hands when you ask. She also knows her feet-- I asked her for her foot in the tub and she lifted it up for me, so cute!
During the week, it is just her and I. DH got a job in a city 4 hours away. We are currently house hunting and hopefully will find something we like SOON. I hate being apart but on the other hand, my house is very clean! :-p DH comes home Fri night through Sunday evening, so that is very nice.
L and I have lots of fun outings lately. Lunch at our favorite cafe, zoo days, playing in the pool. I am kind of bummed bc I wanted to sign up for swim lessons and music class but since I don't know when I'm moving, I can't. Oh well!
Mother's Day was nice. It was my first one and i got breakfast in bed, flowers for my garden, chocolates and lunch from one of my favorite places. It was a nice, relaxed day. OH, and I got a bubble bath with no interruptions!!!!
My husband and kids will be living with me again in 40 days and I can't wait! I saw them last week and it was a good visit, but man am I ready for the separation to be over once and for all. DS was particularly sweet last week. I made him breakfast one morning and he said "Mommy, will you sit down with me? I just like hanging out with you." Then, while he was eating his breakfast, he said out of nowhere "I love lot. Daddy and I missed you lot." </3
We celebrated DD's 9th birthday while I was there. It was so surreal. I cannot believe that 9 years have come and gone and that in another 9 years she's going to be going off to college. Double </3 </3
Did I mention that I can't wait until the kids get here?
I received the best birthday and Mother's day present this weekend... a BFP! I'm not really sure when my EDD is since my cycle has been varying from 30-36 days but my guesstimate is between Jan 15-20. I go for my first MD visit and u/s on June 13th, so I should have a more accurate date then. DH and I are over the moon! And part of us are scared and think we're crazy for going for #3 lol!
Etteyam wow congrats!!!! That's crazy and exciting! Either you'll get a boy or a "sorority house" like my neighbor says of his house when he raised 3 girls, lol. Either way, awesome news and H&h 9 months
Cop, 40 days will fly by! <3
Surfbetty, I just watched the video of L on Facebook and eeeek she's so so cute!
Not much for news here. A is doing great. She took me out for breakfast on Mother's Day and we had a nice day together. Today we're eating a late lunch in the backyard before I have to go in to work at 5. I'm really enjoying spending time with her. She can't talk yet but she pretends to and has these long conversations with me that are just babble but so adorable.
Pregnancy is going just fine. 13 weeks tomorrow and I'm getting over the early symptoms and starting to get a hard belly. Trying to think of names is not going well, but there's clearly a lot of time for that.

Etteyam, congratulations!!! I have been wondering how soon until you'd be making this announcement since I knew you'd mentioned at one point trying for a third was in the works! So very excited for you!
Nothing really that eventful with me right now. I finally quit procrastinating on some of the last things I wanted to tend to and I think I have myself as prepared as I'm going to get. Now just ready for these last 2 weeks or so to go by quickly. I have been really nauseous for a lot of today, which I really haven't had much of since 1st trimester, but other than that, just all the typical fun stuff that comes with late pregnancy.
On the opposite spectrum of that, I was discussing options with my Dr to ensure that I will never be pregnant again. I have decided on an IUD for now. This will give H and I time to either save up to get him fixed, or I will get my tubes tied. The only reason I would consider a tubal is because it costs almost nothing since I am a hospital employee. However, my body has been through enough with 2 pregnancies, 1 c section, and 1 vaginal delivery so this is not something I am going to rush into lol!
I am going back to work on June 10th. Don't even get me started on how much this country blows when it comes to lack of maternity leave. My job has shown some mercy on me and I will get 2 more weeks of orientation when I get back, since I was only on my own for 9 whole nights before Jack was born. Working FT and BFing constantly will be interesting. Sleep will be a distant memory for a while...even more distant than it already has been. Besides Jack's 2 am bedtime, it hasn't been bad. He is sleeping in longer stretches. Last night I got 6.5 hours! Sweet! Zoe was sleeping much better by this point so I now know just how good we had it with her. Jack is getting better so I know it really can be much worse! He is smiling a lot more now and is becoming so much more interactive! He is also in 6 month pj's! Holy cow! Big boy!
Zoe has been have daily melt downs because she is sleep deprived. My in laws have been here and it has been difficult. Sweetest people, but......anyway....they leave Friday so hopefully things will get back to normal soon. Well, whatever normal is with a baby and toddler lol!
things are much easier now than they were a month ago...we don't have too much of a day schedule, but A is sleeping great at night (wakes up 1-2 times to eat). i go back to work june 10, and i'll miss her, but i'm ready.
Shane's "normal" sleep schedule has been very irregular the past few days, and he fights falling asleep when he's tired. His laugh has got a sound behind it now and I love hearing him laugh.
Job searching sucks. I'm starting to get frustrated.

There is one in every family, and its me...I got pregnant with a Mirena. I lost that pregnancy, but just the fact that it failed was disconcerting to say the least.
My Dr. suggested Essure. It is less invasive but justas effective as a tubal, according to him.
Everything is good with the girls. Our move went less than perfectly, but they have adjusted perfectly and love seeing Nana almost everyday.
For Mothers Day, my mom, the girls, and I got in free to the zoo, so my step dad went with us. DH had to work, so we went to see the animals w/o him. Amelia learned to say "otter," "jaguar," and "camel."
Their speech had been exploding, including the less than favorable words that we use.
Abigail Has started biting. Not sure what do as we try to practice gentle parenting as much as possible...
The girls are learning colors and numbers, counting, and some if the alphabet. They are so smart. Oh, and the animals!
I want to try a mothers day out program for them, but I an terrified of other germy kids. Because I need kids coming home yakking when DH is gone 50 plus hours a week.
We are planning our first trip to Disney...we are going on Dapper Day. I think. Maybe.
Well, I'm 27w1d today, so 3rd trimester depending on who you ask. We got a new bookcase, so that will help organize and really get started on room stuff. We still need to get a bed for Q, but that will take care of the majority of what we need to do. I have my GD test at 7:30am on Thursday. Yay.
Etteyam - Congrats! How exciting! Jenrn - I know going back to work sucks, no matter when you do it. But I'm happy there's even a chance you could be my nurse! Especially since you've had a VBAC. Aegis - I will be sending good job searching prayers/thoughts your way. Amellis - Glad to hear you're settling in. I'm just now learning about this whole Dapper Day thing. Very interesting. If you have any planning questions, you have some old pros (Kate and I, and I'm sure there are others) that can definitely help.

It was nice to read everyone's updates. Congrats Etteyam!
I'm 7 weeks today and I had my first ultrasound earlier this afternoon. I have some big news. There are TWO!!!!!!!! I was not that shocked because we did IVF and I knew it was a possibility since we did end up transferring 2. But H was still very shocked, even though he and I have been referring to them as "the babies" this whole time! So yeah- I will need some advice from you, amellis!! I know this will be a crazy ride but after how long it's taken us, we're very excited.

How exciting for you Lauren, intimidating a little as well, I'm sure. So happy for you!
We are having a hard time w/dinner. I'm not sure what to do. Pedi says to just attempt to feed her and when she throws a fit, get her out of the highchair and then put her back when she acts hungry again and she will eventually eat. However, she throws a fit when I get her out of the highchair as well. She wants to eat, but just what SHE wants to eat. I didn't think this would be starting this early. Suggestions?? Other than that, she is taking a few steps here and there and we are recognizing more "words" from her. This weekend is our weekend away, hopefully everything will go smoothly with her at home.

I would give her a choice. "do you want some peas or some potatoes?"
