Bleeding on birth control?

When I first started birth control I had break through spotting all the time. It turned out I was on the lowest possible dose, and it just wasnt enough. I got it bumped up to a higher dose and then that fixed it. Unfortunately I waited to call the doctor and get it fixed until after my honeymoon. So I spotted on my wedding day and all through my honeymoon. It sucked!

Would you consider another pill? I was on yasmin for a couple years and my periods were always heavy. Like I would bleed thru a tampon once an hour. So I switched to Ortho Novum and LOVED it. Sometimes when I wiped with yasmin I also had clots and I've seen commercials where there have been reports of those (the lawsuit commercials).

The only time I ever had issues on bcp was when I took a generic version. Maybe try switching back to the brand?

I have been on bcp since April 5th (finish the second pack tomorrow). I didn't do a 7 day break as per my RE. Since the day I started the second pack I have had bleeding every single day. More like spotting and sometimes only when I wipe but it's there.

The weird thing is, this is the exact same pill I was on when I was on the pill (you know what I mean) and I never had spotting, ever. Was on it for 4 years. I feel like it is AF desperate to make a break for it. I asked the nurse last Friday and she said it was normal but I ditto @g22 - when I first went on the pill years ago I had to be changed to a stronger one because of breakthrough bleeding.
