What are your bedtime/naptime routines? Baths? Reading? Something else? I want to start creating some type of routine, and just wondering what other moms are doing ...

For nap time, we turn off the lights, turn on the sound machine and give a bottle. Typically we still rock him to sleep for naps.
For bed time, we do bottle, bath, lotion, pjs, sound machine, and the rest of the bottle. Typically we just put him in his crib at this point and he falls asleep wiht in 15 mins or so, typically with no crying.
For nap time we wait until she's dog tired and asking for nap by bringing me her blanket and then dragging the boppy to me. Then we nurse to sleep. Before she was able to do that we failed miserably at nap.
For bed time we always do a warm bath. She plays with her toys and I chill out on my little stool and it gets us both relaxed and ready. Then it's pjs, good nights, and we turn on her musical ladybug and get the boppy out and she knows that means bedtime. If her dad is home she will give him a goodnight kiss and he'll turn out the light and she waves goodnight to him. If he's not home we look at the pictures hanging in the hallway and say goodnight to his pictures. She'll give the pictures a kiss and its too cute.

Naptime is where I'm failing ...
I have been using the seahorse you got for him at night, and usually two squeezes is enough to put him out. So help me if I walk away and the music ends after the first squeeze or he's howling. Yup, I've learned to stay close and not too much time lapse Maybe I need to take better attention to his cues and bust out the seahorse for naptime.

We dont really have a nap routine. My DS is going to be 2 in July and we have always rocked him in the rocking chair for a little bit and turned on his sleep sheep and then put him in his crib. If he cries a little we let him cry but dont let it go on for too long before going in to try again. Naps on the weekends seem to be getting harder. Sometimes he wont take one at all and other times he will. I would like to keep them going as he needs the rest but you just never know.
Bedtime - We start doing a bath around 7:30, then get pajamas on and brush our teeth, then read a few books. Say goodnight to dad and cat and then go in and rock. I usually rock him for like 5 minutes and then put him in his bed and he goes right to sleep.
Thankfully we have been very lucky as he has been an excellent sleeper since he started sleeping through the night at 3 months. I know I am very lucky and I thank my lucky stars every day.
Our naptime routine is pretty basic - when it's time I take her into her room, turn on her fan and Sleep Sheep, change her diaper and put her in a sleep sack as I sing lullabies to her. Then I rock her and nurse her for a few minutes before putting her in her crib (awake). It took us a looooong time to get to this point though, including many, many hours of her just napping on or next to me when she was little, some sleep training, and the big one: her figuring out how to suck her thumb. Naps were a hot mess for us for a long time.
At nighttime we sometimes start with a bath, but even if not then we go brush her teeth, then her dad gets her ready for bed (diaper change, pajamas, sleep sack). We turn on her fan and her Sleep Sheep and again I rock and nurse her then lay her down awake. I've been wanting to add some book-reading in there somewhere but she just really will rarely sit still through a book anyway, so maybe in a couple months.
Nap time is: turn all the lights off, go upstairs, lay on the bed. We usually watch a few minutes of TV or something that I want to watch. I usually give them a cup of milk. They might play for a little while, but eventually they settle down, cuddle nextto me and they are asleep.
Bedtime: I wait for Luis to get home, because I am at home with them all day, so he can do bath time. He gets home at 9, so bedtime is usually 9:30 ish.
Bath, pajamas, "yotion," and then they lay down with us. Sometimes, we watch a Disney movie (since this is the only time during the day that we get to be all together.) They are usually out by the time the trailers are over (we watch the trailers because our Disney movies are on VHS, so we set the VCR upstairs.)
