No, I am not pregnant. But I throw up almost every morning. I've been to the doctor, and she thinks it's my GERD acting up so she put me on Tecta. It's not working.
I'm sick of throwing up. I guess I'm thankful it's in the morning, because I rarely have food in my stomach but TMI WARNING:
I'm getting tired of tasting milkey coffee puke.
Oh and also - I used to throw up like this in high school, too, although not as frequently. It's only ever been in the morning. WTF?!
Could you have possibly developed some type of food allergy/intolerance?
I don't know. My mother has celiac disease... I don't have other symptoms though (like literally shitting my pants when I eat gluten), so I'm unsure if I could be gluten-intolerant. Could it be dairy? I eat a lot of that.

Ughhhh I want answers!! haha
It could definitely be dairy.
Have you ever tried cutting either or those foods out for a period of time to see if you feel better?
Just a though. Puking is like a phobia for me so I'd be all over trying to figure it out.
Has anyone recommended you see a neurologist? IIRC there could be a link between morning vomiting and something brain related.
Yes, it's only in the morning. No one has suggested I see a neurologist, although I've only been to the doctor once for this issue (recently - a month ago) and she prescribed the Tecta. She said to come back if it doesn't stop, so that's what I'm going to do. I can certainly ask if she thinks it could be a neurological issue. Thanks!

Oh and also - I have anisocoria due to a concussion I got when I fell from my horse a looong time ago. I think the puking started after that injury, actually, but I can't be sure. They did scans etc... at that time and didn't see any bleeding or fluid build-up or anything like that. I was sent home with some advil and was told to be woken up every 2 hours.
Are you one BCP? Is it every morning or just certain weeks of the month?
Yep, I'm on BCP (Cyclen). It's not every morning, but there's no pattern either. However, my period has been weird lately. Are you implying it could be hormonal?

The anisocoria doesn't affect my vision.
That's interesting that you think the vomiting started soon after that.
Lots of people have anisocoria and it's no problem, not indicative of anything, but yours was directly related to an injury, so it may be good to just see the neurologist since it's been a few years. They can always compare any new tests to your old ones.

I can't remember the brand, but when I was on one at the start of a new packet I would get "morning sickness" where I would get really nauseated and gag or nearly throw up. It would eventually pass and only happened in the mornings. I knew a friend who had a similar experience too. that is why I brought up the pills, because maybe, just maybe, it is a hormonal reaction.

I also did this when I was at a really stressful job that I thought I was handling well. But, as soon as I found a new job, the vomitting stopped. Are you under more stress right now?
I did this for 1.5 years. Puking every single morning. I know this sucks so bad. I would get a brain MRI. I had every test under the sun and it wasn't gastro, it was brain related. Then i was diagnosed with MS.

So sorry to hear that, BQQ. I am definitely going to get this checked out to rule out anything serious. The last thing I want to do is procrastinate until something bad happens! ugh
Thanks for commiserating with me. How are you feeling lately?
I ge this, too. It's been happening to me since middle school and comes and goes (like, every day for a week and then nothing for months until it starts up again). About two years ago, I realized that it happens when I'm eating a lot of apples. Maybe start keeping a food journal?
Oh, you don't have to be sorry, its all good. I just shared because i feel bad that you are going through something similar they tried to give me anti nausea meds but they never worked.
Not that i think you have MS bur after your head injury your crystals might be out of whack. I know it sounds crazy bur vestibular therapy was a lifesaver.

I was told not have caffeine because it makes GERD worse. I would try that.
Interesting. I haven't actually been changing my lifestyle for my GERD because I was diagnosed with it right before I got my gallbladder out, and I didn't seem to have any problems after surgery. Now, though, I think symptoms are creeping back.
I loooove caffeine.
bonquiqui - I will totally look into that. I have studied it in school, and I know the maneuvers. I will bring it up with my Dr for sure.

No advice, but I had similar issues when under a lot of stress, and drinking a dairy product in the morning. I couldn't figure it out at first, and realized I had started drinking a breakfast shake thingy right around when I started getting sick, cut that out, and it went away. Oh, and my stress dissipated, too, so I'm sure that helped!

When I took BCP in the morning (instead of night), I threw up/was nauseous on the regular. Taking it at night fixed that problem.

My H threw up every morning of 10th-12th grade of HS. Before 10th grade he was home-schooled so I personally think it was stress/anxiety about public school. Once he got to college he was fine. *shrug*
