What did you think?
I thought it was a good episode. I figured Tara would be turned into a vampire. I think that with Pam being her maker there will be some good scenes. I loved Pam's line about wearing the Walmart sweatsuit.
Eric was looking really good. Although I was a bit grossed out with his interaction with his "sister," even though I know they are only related by maker.
I'm not sure how I feel about the new werewolf characters.
I thought Rev. Newlin was hilarious. I hope we see more of him. I wonder if he is working with the new vampire authority.
I'm kind of bored with the Jason and Jessica storyline already.
I really don't like any of the werewolf storylines.. ever. Alcide is hot but I really wouldn't mind if they went away. Everything else was good! Kind of all over the place, but entertaining.

I'm with you, the werewolves can go away now please. But not nekkid Alcide. He can stay. I am so glad Sookie capped Debbie though.
And Jebus Christ, another freaking storyline with Terry and his old Marine buddy and the phantom firestarters? Good lord, enough already, Alan Ball.
I think Pam being Tara's maker has great comedy gold potential.
I liked the episode, I'm kinda confused about why Pam was wearing the sweat suit from Walmart even though it did make me LoL. And why did Marcus' mom change and start eating his dead body, I don't remember anything about that in the books even though I realize the books and show don't really have a ton to do with each other.

I assumed that Pam didn't want to ruin her own clothes since she was being buried with Tara, so she changed into something Sookie had.
I have not read the books, but I guess Marcus' mom started eating him as part of their ritual for the dead pack leader. I know she said something to Sam about needing to know where his body was so they can complete some kind of ritual thing.
Also, Was Bubba like a brain damaged or slow witted vampire from the books? If so, I agree with a pp and I could totally see them making Tara more like that since she did have half of her head shot off.

I guess I can see Tara becoming like Bubba but in the previews it didn't seem like they would have the same "feel" plus I think some of the fun of bubba is who he used to be. If Tara becomes that it just seems kind of sad.
Also, the show is basically nothing like the books now...I guess the only thing that is the same is the characters. This might be a good thing since the books have started to be sucktastic (or rather have been for a while now).

I thought maybe they were going to try the skinwalking thing to screw over Sam or Alcide, but then again I think only shifters can do that, and I don't know how that would be any worse than just killing them. I didn't get the sense that it was a typical ritual, more than Alcide seemed pretty damn horrified by it.
I'm kind of glad Alcide is more of a stand-up guy in the series. His character was always such a disappointing wuss in the books. And, yum. Love that actor.
I was done with Tara's old character, but I think Vamp!Tara has potential. I think the actress is great, the character was just shrill and whiny all the time, and I think she'll be a much better badass.
There were some great lines...the WalMart sweatsuit and Pam's line about Sookie using her "fairy hands or magic snatch" or whatever she said to fix things between Pam and Eric. Also Eric's. "We fight like siblings but we f*ck like champions" and Bill's eyerolling at the two of them.
I thought there was a bit too much going on, and a lot of plot holes. And sadly, even though I watched the recap show, I was still a little lost about what was going on, especially with Sookie/Eric/Bill and with Jason/Jessica. And what the hell was Eric doing answering his cell? Even if it was untraceable -- dude, you *just* faked your own death, and acknowledged that your sibling would die if anyone found out. So, first thing, you pop up on a call alive and well?
I saw a little scene from upcoming shows (just the Reverend kind of head-bopping his way into a party) that makes me think he will be awesome. With both him and Russell Edgington, I think the season has great potential. They just have to get rid of some of these loser storylines (Terry/Luna/etc.) to keep it focused.
What does everyone think happened to Jesus? I hope he comes back in some form...he was a really sweet character, and Lafayette deserves some happiness. That actor did an amazing job in this episode.
I really hope that Sookie remembers to get rid of that damn tooth.

I don't really know why I'm still watching this show, I get so irritated by it. lol
I do love Pam, always. I really just wanted Tara to leave the show. Alcide is so freaking hot, I would have gone to live with him in a second.
Mostly I'm still irritated that the actor who plays Jesus left SouthLAnd in part to do True Blood, and then they kill him off. WTH. I hope they figure out a way to bring him back, since the body was missing. *fingers crossed*
Anyone think Jesus' grandfather has something to do with his missing body?
This could be. I was thinking maybe he'll come back as a zombie. They have everything else running around Bon Temps, why not add some zombies! lol
I don't think it will play out much this season I think they just threw that in there to just to set up that his body has been missing since just after he died. It might be a set up for the next season.
