Saw it this weekend...it was really good! Great story, the 3-D was cool, good acting all around but Benedict Cumberbatch was amazing (go Sherlock!). I liked it as much or better than Iron Man 3, which was also really enjoyable.
While I'm a huge fan and liked the story I think it could have been better. It was pointed out to me how glairy some of the scenes in the last movie were and I noticed it in this one. I guess because I was looking for it but I don't know why they couldn't fix that. Ben was great and Noel Clark!! Did you see Felicia Day's blog post about the lack of women in roles of authority?

The glare / lens flare is kind of JJ Abrams signature. Definitely overused in this movie though!
I liked the movie a lot. Certainly not the best Star Trek movie, but it could have been a lot worse in these days of Transformers etc.
I agree with Felicia Day to some extent - they certainly could have improved Uhura's role and added more female characters.... but in general, strong female characters were lacking in the original Star Trek, and Kirk's character is absolutely a womanizer. The blonde woman could have an interesting story

Just saw this last night. I really enjoyed it. I love Wrath Of Khan and I thought BC was fantastic (even chewing his words in a similar fashion as Ricardo Montalban). I also loved the reversal of positions at the end.
I thought it was really good. I LOVED Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan.
I remember thinking Chris Pine was a pretty bad actor in the first one, but he did not bother me at all in this one. But yeah, Benedict Cumberbatch really stole that show.

I didn't really have a problem with Chris Pine, but I will never like him as much as I like Zachary Quinto.
