He's saying that JM is intimidates witnesses and one of Jodi's friends is fearful to testify because he is going to bring up her drug use, among other issues of witness intimidation throughout the trial.
We all know it's going to be denied, so lets move on with it already.
It sounds like her Mom wants to testify but Jodi doesn't want that to happen.
I can't imagine that she wouldn't want to testify and beg for her daughter's life.
I think this has to do with the abuse allegations. Maybe the mom won't lie and say it's true for Jodi's sake.
And her dad, brother and sister were in court today. The jury I going to think it's weird no one is testifying on her behalf.
I'm also thinking this might be why people aren't testifying for her. If she lied during the trial, she could get caught in those lies if the other people aren't willing to go along with it and that would definitely not help her when they're considering the sentencing.
Lies or not, I don't see how this will go well for Jodi. The jury already believes she's a liar. They also know Jodi's family has been in court everyday. I think the jury will be led to believe that even Jodi's mom won't beg for her life because Jodi is such an awful person.
I haven't been following it much as you guys, but wow. I didn't realize that about her family. I can't imagine not defending my daughter, even if I knew there was only a little bit of kindness and compassion left.

They want a mistrial for everything but it was denied.
I think she's going to get the death penelty. I think that by the time it would actually happen the United States will have stopped this practice and she will just serve life in prison without parole.
nursewife there's no indication that the mom doesn't want to testify. I'm totally betting on it's Jodi's choice or a defense strategy.
karmasabiotch maybe she'll say she wants death to the jury. Maybe she'll be defiant to the end. Anything could happen...it's Jodi. I will be shocked if she apologizes. Like a true apology, not something like blah blah I'm sorry I hurt people.
Ok. That makes sense. I find it interesting how trials like this 'work'. It's such a mindfuck. I can't imagine being a jury member and having every little thing raked over like this.
