Tonight I didn't have vegetable oil for the brownie mix so I subbed in applesauce and a little bit of olive oil. Then decided that I needed to make sure it would be delicious, so I sprinkled chocolate chips all over the top. I hope it turns out edible at least.
We totally should Dixie! That would involve me going to my local fast food/burger place and ordering pretty much everything they have. Chicken strips, sweet potato fries, gyros, and a big burger with pastrami on top. Also, fry sauce for everything! You all are making me want food this morning.
We can definitely add a stress cooking segment! That one might involve cursing out the pan of brownies, if I'm doing it.
Doglove, do you use light olive oil when you do that? I didn't have any light or extra light olive oil, which is why I used mostly applesauce. The dark green extra virgin olive oil probably would've given a weird flavor on its own, or so said everything I found online.

Wait wait don't tell me's sandwich Monday blog entry this week was something called "the saltwich". It was a sandwich made of the saltiest things they could think of: pretzel, bacon, pickles, pastrami, potato chips and salt. The pictures are amazing.
FWIW, there's a bakery here that makes fabulous pretzel rolls for sandwiches.

That sounds amazing!
Lately I've been getting pretzel rolls to use with cheese like brie and fromage d'affinois. So good. And now I'm having cravings. I hate hormones.

No, I actually have used the heavy stuff and it didn't change the flavor from what I remember.
