Ugh! Now I get to go back for the 3 hour test on Friday. Anyone else have experience with this? Any recommendations of anything to do or eat beforehand? My doctor's office only said that I can't eat anything after midnight Thursday (appt is first thing Friday).

My midwife gives me a week long plan of what to eat and not. Here it is:
This is for the 1 hour test though: Prep for Testing: Eliminate refined sugar and simple carbs for the diet for one week prior to the test. Consume a min of 150 mg daily of complex carbs (whole grains, vegs, etc.) for 3 days priror to the test. This creates a glycogen storage in the pancreas and insures an accurate GTT result. For two days prior allow yourself only limited fruits and fruit juices until after the test.
Oh no. Good luck. I wouldn't try to change your eating habits in order to pass the test though. If you do have GD, it's important that it be handled properly. You don't want to put yourself & your baby at risk just to avoid some lifestyle changes for a few more months.

This makes so much sense. I wish they would standardize the requirements for the GTT.

That test is sooooo skewed the way it is typically administered. I think it's like 70% of those who fail the 1 hour do not actually have GD. Good luck!
