You could definitely train for a full by then.
I didn't train at ALL for my first one (which was stupid) and I finished just three minutes before they turned off the clocks. (Yet, I was still far from being last.) I hurt all over for a week, had to hobble all over the place and go down the stairs on my ass, and had a big mother effing bruise from my knee joint up to my buttocks on the back of my right thigh, but almost immediately I knew I wanted to do one again, because I was clearly a dumbass for doing this on a whim.
I did another one the following year, but trained well for it and wound up shaving 1 1/2 hours off my time. I did three more after that, but the second one remains my best time and so my best advice for you is to train hard, do some cross-training, walk through all of the water stops (and make sure you're drinking gatorade too, even though the taste sucks) and to bring a little waist pack with you with three five important things: Aleve, gummy bears or some other easy to injest sweet thing, a few pretzels (salt is good so your hands don't look like Stay Puft the Marshmallow man's) and gels if your stomach can tolerate them. Also your cell phone so you can call your family / friends to let them know where you are so they can spot you in the crowd.
