My parents just arrived in Hawaii for a two week vacation. I am so excited for them to finally see Hawaii! I know they are going to have such a great time. I am facebook stalking them because they keep posting photos.

I find them posting pictures on FB adorable, DL.
I'm excited to get an interview, but I don't know if I'd take this job if it was offered to me. I'm still going to go, with an open mind, but right now it doesn't feel "right".

I have to laugh through my irritation that H can't figure out loosening and tightening the straps on PF's carseat. I show him, I have him do it while I'm there, he can't figure it out without me. Next time I'm sending him YouTube videos.
H was up for a new company car back in Feb. We went to dealers, we chose the one we wanted and put in the order. The car is finally available for pick up. We might have a new car tomorrow! I love our volvo station wagon, but I'm excited for the Jetta Wagon we chose.
It really is ps! My mom posted a photo of my dad last night and she is not technology savvy at all, so I assume it was just my dad doing it from her phone. She barely knows how to make a phone call even though she has an iPhone.
Oh, and I've decided to retake the LSAT (since my other scores expire this year) and apply to law school in the fall. If I don't get in, I will apply to one of the local colleges adult/professional programs and try to conquer my fear of math but indulge my fascination with engineering.

Doglove, that is so cute about your parents. I hope they have a great time in Hawaii. My parents loved it so much they've gone back twice.
Cuddlyevil good luck on the LSAT. I remember when my H took it before Law School. He was so nervous. It's turned out a-ok.
I have jump started my work out routine and am working really hard to tone up. In a month H and I are going to Panama. I am so excited for the adventure. We are looking at a hotel that has rooms on stilts over the ocean! I really need a vacation.
dixienormous My H has had the same carseat struggles. I had to get pissed and have a little bit of a "car accidents are the #1 killer of children" rant and now he gets it. Mostly. I'm still not sure he loosens them, but he manages to get her in there tight now.
I have A almost 100% packed for vacation. Holy crap, little people have SO MUCH SHIT. Even bare bones, 1 outfit a day, planning to do laundry mid-week, there is so much. Next trip will be somewhere warm so I don't have to plan for 50 degree weather AND 80 degree weather all in the same week.
My doctor ordered a bunch of blood tests for me and I received the results yesterday. I then went about comparing them to test results from 2 1/2 years ago and stressing myself out re: lots of things decreasing a small amount (wbc, rbc, hematocrit, platelet count, etc). I also discovered my vitamin D level seems to be pretty low.
One good thing is that my triglycerides decreased 26 points.
Also, I've been having computer issues. I have a huge exam I'm scheduled to take in less than a month, but I can't do any practice tests because of the computer issues. So that's a bigger source of stress. H will be helping me fix at least one of them this week.

I also just made my first Gyn appt since i had my IUD put in (fall of 2011). I'm dreading the weight "talk." More than the speculum, if that's possible.
I just made an appointment for tomorrow at a curly hair specialty salon. I'm excited and a little nervous. I've never given my curls proper due and I'm hoping that they can help me find a flattering cut but also a style that will be easy to do (read: not time consuming)

Good luck with both of these things! Per imoan and long lost jenn, the right curly hair stylist can do a lot. Hell, I just have a lot of waves and I got a cut to enhance those for the first time and it made a huge difference. And *hugs* re the gyno. No fun.
Good luck@cuddlyevil! Super exciting!
Dl I love your parents.
I have a first date tonight at a cool fusion restaurant that also has karaoke on thursdays! The dude knows I love to sing and did it for me, I think. It'll be fun.
Anxiously waiting for a few jobs I applied for early this week. They would be slightly less pay but very good fits.
Strawberries are the fucking bomb. All they need is homemade whipped cream and I can die happy.

I need to find me a 'curly hair specialty salon'. My hair is thick with lots of waves. I finally decided to stop fighting it, but I don't think my last cut was the right one yet.

dixienormous, wash and go hair is essential especially when you have so much going on! I have greatly simplified my life by getting the right hair cut!
Soo many wonderful things in this thread! I want to touch on them all, but I just want you ALL to know that there are so many wonderful things happening in your lives and I'm so happy for all of you!

Oooh, exciting! Do you want to be a lawyer?
Yeah, it's been a goal for a few years but DS #2's arrival and health issues delayed a lot.
I just got props from the big boss man for the invitations I made for graduation

Tomorrow is the first day I've taken off work since the first week of November and my bosses are already giving me grief about it. It's just ONE day! And a Friday before a Holiday weekend, no doubt. I can't imagine the world's going to come to an end...
Now I'm struggling to keep up my motivation to finish the stuff on my "to do" list in the next 3.5 hours. They're going to give me grief whether I get it done or not... This is a BAD attitude to have and I know it. But I feel like I work my ass off every day for these people and they take days off because they "feel grumpy" and don't want to bring the rest of the office down. I haven't even been sick in years! Someone tell me I'm being childish and to get my butt in gear...

Not childish. Okay, maybe it's childish, but I don't think you need to get your ass in gear before a 4 day weekend.

I feel like everyone has posted really awesome things today! I like them all. River had his paw surgery today, it went really well. He has a big bandage on his foot and he has to wear a cone of shame for the next 10 days. He hates me already, he is so pathetic and silly looking though.

Turn his cone of shame into a flower! Then he'll be sure to poop in your favorite shoes.
dixienormous - that is the best idea ever. When you watch him walk from behind he kind of looks like a drunk pirate. Because he walks a little crooked and has a big hat. partiallysunny - he is pissed. I think he hates the bandage on his foot more than he hates the cone. Luckily the bandage can come off later today.
