We have a nanny, but she only comes PT and I wanted a backup person for a few days this summer when she can't come. I WAH, so I figured a high school girl would be OK, and this one is even taking childcare classes at a local community college for extra credit.
Every other word out of her mouth was "freakin'." "I'll be done with school next week, but first I have to take these freakin' finals." She brought her childcare portfolio she had made, which was impressive and extensive, and she kept saying, "I spent so much freakin' time on this thing" and "My teacher gave me such a freakin' hard time on making this thing."
It was pretty funny, and she was so awkward in a wonderfully teenage way.

Last week, I went to the early years childcare centre and there was a volunteer. She was probably in high school. Every second word was "like". We started talking about childcare and I mentioned I would be hiring a nanny. Her eyes lit up. I stifled my laughter (it wasnt just the likes, she was dumber than paint) and made up some thing about having someone lined up.
