I'm 40 weeks today. I'm doing alright, a little more impatient some days than others. I was sent to L & D for monitoring Friday for reduced movement and then again yesterday for bleeding, both times everything checked out fine. On Friday my OB offered to induce me that day, and there were a couple times I might've regretted declining that over the weekend, but I've been hoping she'd come on her own. He's only letting me go until Friday, and as much as I would prefer not to be induced, if I'm still pregnant by then, I think I'm okay with it. I've been having really uncomfortable but never quite regular ontractions for almost 2 weeks now, sometimes for stretches as long as 8-10 hours, and I'm 3-4 cm dilated already, so I'm ready to get this show on the road. It's kind of nice to know either way, she'll be born this week.

Tasha, I'll be thinking of you and hoping she's here asap!
I am 9 weeks today. I had my first actual OB appt last week which went great. Now no appointments until June 21! I've been so used to getting checked out a lot at the RE, etc. So I hope these weeks will go by fast! I was in my hometown this weekend for a wedding so a lot of people already knew and were congratulating me. Due to our situation, everyone knows early about us, even thought we're not in the second tri yet. Sometimes that reaaaaaaaly scares me. But everything is going good!
Lauren, I feel you on being impatient about your next OB visit. I haven't had my 1st one yet and I can't wait for the next 2 weeks to fly by! I should be about 9 weeks then and I'll be getting my first u/s too.
Ugh, the bloat... I forgot about 1st tri bloat! I feel so uncomfortable after I eat. My nausea comes and goes. Exhaustion is really kicking my behind. I went to the gym last week, when I had a burst of energy, and I was miserable the next day
Good luck to you Tasha! I got my fingers crossed she'll be here soon I am anxious to hear her name, I have always loved your taste in names.
As for me, all is well. I have had a million doctor appointments here lately. I meet with three doctors about every two to three weeks (OB, High Risk Doctor, and Endocrinologist). While it's nice to be monitored closely this time around I am starting to get annoyed by the 1-1.5 hour drive to each of their offices. Plus I haven't had much luck scheduling my appointments on the same day
Anyway, I learned that my placenta is anterior which means it will be a while before I feel any kicks. But what's alarming is the placenta is placed right over my previous c-section scar. While there is a strong possibility that the placenta will move while my uterus grows they are watching to make sure the placenta doesn't grow into the c-section scar tissues. Apparently if that happens it's not good. My OB wasn't specific on the risks but when I googled it it seems if that happens I could end up with a hysterectomy.
And in other news I learned that if I choose the route of repeat C-Section I will not be able to have my tubes tied at the time It is a catholic hospital and that procedure is not allowed at their facility. Bummer.
I also had some blood testing done and it appears that there isn't any chromosome issues. That's a relief since my Aunt had a baby years ago with Trisomy 18 and I tested high risk for that last time I was pregnant. They also tested the sex chromosome but I resisted the urge to find out and we are committed to team green like we were with Macy.
We had our first flight this past weekend. Shane was awesome on the flight there. On the way back we were on the runway waiting to take off and he had a howling meltdown. I had a bit of an anxiety attack, because he wanted me to walk around bouncing him and I couldn't do that - and everyone was staring. I haven't had an anxiety attack in years, and I hate how I felt. Luckily he calmed down after about 20 minutes, but I hate that I freaked out the way I did ...
Other than that, we have his first PT appointment tomorrow to figure out what we need to do to get his neck muscles back on track ...
I'm sorry to hear about your bad flight experience, Aegis. DS once screamed the entire 2 hrs from DC to FL b/c we hit crazy turbulence and he was tired. That was the worst flight of my life to date so I completely empathize with your anxiety.

I was happy to see your update, Kathy. I have been thinking about you a lot, and I wanted to make sure things were still on track and going well
Some good stuff here!! We're doing good. Recovered from the stomach virus. Praying Amelia doesn't get it but at least ok that if she does I'm able to take care of her now. Pregnancy 15 weeks yesterday. Flying by!
Kathy- I hope the placenta moves! Can't you catch a break?? Thinking of you! xxx
Things are moving right along here. Trying our best to not makes Jack's flat spot worse. Yet another great reason to wear him! He is getting more alert and smiling a lot more. Yay! Zoe is a little chatterbox and is hilarious at this age. When we walk by kids she says, "hi, kids" and when we walk by adults she says, "Hi, people."
I go back to work in less than 2 weeks and it makes me sick. I am pretty annoyed by our lack of maternity leave in this country and I get angrier about it with each kid. I talk to countless moms who agree with me. I think we need to make our voices heard!! If you want to go back to work at 6 weeks or 3 months, rock on, but it would be nice to have a choice to stay home longer. It just doesn't feel right to be going back when my baby is this small, kwim?

I know what you mean, Jen. I'm the last person to want to be a SAHM permanently, but when I had DS, I was not ready to go back to work at 12 weeks. I hope that your transition back to work goes smoothly.
