There is a flying cockroach in my kitchen. I didn't realize what it was until I saw an episode of Hell's Kitchen. Then it dawned on me that the "giant ass bug in the kitchen" was a mother fucking cockroach.
I have never before seen a roach, especially in the 2.5 years we've lived here.
Now, we DO have a damp basement that tends to leak water when it rains. Could it be attracted to that? I didn't get to kill it because it flew into me, landed on the counter, and quick ran down into a crack behind the counter top.
Now I just want to barf and bleach my entire house. What if it touched our FOOD?!
ETA: But I saw it during the day....it seems like it came off the kitchen shade and quick ran for darkness. So I'm assuming it's a roach. =/
I didn't know cockroaches could fly, ugh! I'd make sure all your food stuffs are sealed so there is nothing attracting them and make sure you vacuum regularly.
I don't keep food in cabinetry for this reason. They love cabinets.
But... do you just pile all the food on the floor?
Keep it in your dresser?
Trunk of your car?
Between the sofa cushions??
Lol. I keep it all in the pantry. It's more open, there's more light, I can spray pesticide on the floor of the pantry without contacting the surfaces food sits on.
