My whole life, I've been overweight. Well, I've been doing great recently with losing weight and I'm down nearly 50 lbs! I still have more than 50 to go. But I'm so happy because today I bought in a dress in the regular part of the store - not the "Women's Sizes" area! Its a 16, but its not a 16W! Whoo hoo! Regular sized clothing is so much cuter than plus size clothing!
To make this MM: The dress was only $35 to begin with and when I got to the register, there was an unadvertised sale, so I got it for $25!
Bella90422 - I tried everything under the sun. I did Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, calorie counting, South Beach, etc. What finally clicked was when I watched the movie Fat Head, and really began my own research on carbs. After lots of research, I gave up most carbs, as in I eat absolutely no bread or wheat products. I also gave up soda and caffeinated beverages.
My eating plan is basically to eat protein first. If I'm still hungry after I finish eating protein, I eat vegetables. If I'm still hungry after that, I can have some fruit. Only if I am still hungry after that do I eat carbs. I just don't get to the point that I'm still hungry enough for carbs.
My portions are also much smaller now, because I'm learning that I don't need lots of food in order to feel satisfied. So, yeah - on this plan, I've lost nearly 50 lbs!
Congratulations. I'm using this to get me motivated to lose the weight I need to lose. I'm going in the opposite direction and if it doesn't stop soon I will be shopping in the women's instead of misses. Good for you and keep up the good work.
