Podcast Listeners

Anyone have any good podcasts they can recommend? I'm always looking to try new ones. I have 4 that I listen to consistently now:
Filmspotting
This American Life
Freakonomics
Pop Culture Happy Hour

I've also listened to some episodes of Fresh Air, although I'm choosy on that one. TIA!

I just heard that Click and Clack are retiring. Sad day. We listen to that Saturday mornings.

I've been listening to Pregtastic podcasts lately, so I'm not help.

I have a really dumb question-- how do podcasts work? Do you just listen online or is this through your phone or ipod? Is it something you have to download?

I'll have to try Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, I've listened to that a few times on the radio. And I listened to Pregtastic back in the day Carolyn, it was my favorite of the pregnancy podcasts.

Lauren - a podcast is basically a portable radio show. You can listen to them online or through a device. I usually have them on my iPod so I can listen to them in the car or at work. You can also listen to them via a show's website or iTunes. For the 4 I listed above, I have subscribed to them on iTunes, so the new episodes automatically download whenever they have been added, I sync them with my iPod and I'm off.

Oh, and I forgot to say, there are tons and tons and tons of podcasts. Every different topic imaginable is covered so there is something for everyone.

They don't cost, another reason to give them a try!

Wow, I am so out of it! So to get them on my ipod, I can get them for free through Itunes?

Yup! In the iTunes Store just click the Podcast button along the top. You can search by category, specific name, etc. Once you hit download it adds it to your library, then you sync like normal. Enjoy!
