Ok, so the biggest and best news is that everyone that worked at TN at the time of The Exodus doesn't any more. The whole place was cleaned out and they started over from the community manager on up. Although, I guess they never did replace nest anni. We told them that if they wanted a good rapport with the community, then they needed to be more active on the boards and not just post silly questions and run. There would be a lot less hostility if there was actually a relationship there. Of course, we also said that we left because, as daily users of the site, our feedback was pretty much ignored.
They are changing the platform again. They went live on the knot first. It is mobile compatible, though there is no app right now. dixienormous can speak to the platform.
There were 4 of us fromgbcn there. The other 5 or 6 people were mostly in it for the articles. Can you believe it?? I hope they've improved with the new leadership!

Funniest thing that happened? The women who were there for the "articles" were all about 6 weeks post wedding and took themselves WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too seriously.

Hahah this just cracked me up. People really read the articles, and they read them so often they wanted to come to the focus group on them.

Ha. I loved how after people get married, all of a sudden they want to become wedding planners too.
The new Site Director admitted that tech is pure BS. Supposedly that too is improving. I will say (though zitiqueen disagrees with me) that the new platform/format is nicer and more user friendly.
they were appalled to hear about the FB fiasco.
We ended up in the elevator with one of the tech monkeys. He was NOT happy to be with us.

Haha. Oh yeah? Were they talking about their to-do lists?

I had to laugh that some of them consulted TN for recipes. There are a gazillion recipe specific websites and apps why use TN?!
I think they are expecting most of the IT issues to be resolved with the new platform?? I dunno. We did tell them that we all assumed their tech dept was a bunch of hamsters on a wheel.
At least one of the IT guys is a huge ass, according to our hosts. He was in the elevator with us on the way down. I said , "So I hear you're in IT.". He looked down and said, "i sweep the floors." Lolol.
No one fessed up to being on the boards then, gault.
I did not ask about favorite Nesties. It's likely to be someone we are not familiar with anyhow. The current community manager just started last month.
I don't lurk ML, but read that post via MM. Did one of you say "You could have had all this ::waves hand over self and the other GBCNers:: but now you've got all that ::waves hand over there-for-the-articles weirdos::...happy now?"
