I'd like to find a quality not rock-hard dry cat food. We've used Wellness for the cats for years but its really hard for my boy cat with dental issues. He also had UT issues in the past and they are both over 10 years old now so I need to keep those in mind. He likes cans but only the pâté form.

Wanted to add to maybe speak with your vet on the best course of action. Obviously they not well trained on good but older cats have different dietary needs and from what I read prefer many smaller meals rather than 1 or 2 large ones. I have two cats getting up in age and I am finding the oldest wants to take her time and eats less but wants food within a few hours later.
Wellness canned food is pate style. Could you try adding water to the dry food to soften it up for your kitty (this probably isn't a good idea if you leave it out all day)?
