I might be the only one who hates it. I much prefer just safari. I hate how I can't see if there are new posts until I click into a forum and really hate how it takes me to the last post even if I've never read/ opened the topic before- is there a way to change that?

Yes, you can change where it takes you when you go into a post. It's an option under the settings.
