So I decided to go back to school for nursing. My husband and I sat down and looked at all the timelines and costs of the different programs I had chosen. Nursing just fit better for our family. Less schooling upfront as well as cost. This will get me working sooner, and I can always go back to school to become a nurse practitioner as well. I am very excited! End of August I will be back in school and I am so excited. I wish summer would go by faster! Thank you for everyone's input earlier as well
That's awesome! I did a lot of research on this last year and it's still in the back of my mind. Unfortunatly, I'd have to take like 5 pre-req classes -- and doing those part-time in the evenings would take like 2 years. That really discouraged me. But the thought is still there...
Yea I am taking a whole year to do some pre reqs. Luckily we were able to have me leave my job to go full time. We will be living off my husbands income, student loans, and savings. It will tight for the next three years but the future will be sooo worth it!
Good luck to you! I went through nursing school with children at home also. It was hard but so worth it! If you ever have any questions, feel free to pm me.
