That great closet you organized 2 months after we did the organizing challenge, or a room you just painted (ahem...dairy!), a craft project, new bedding . . . anything goes! I am hoping this month that we can do a lot of helping each other out with ideas and advice; post your pics!

I think my challenge this month is going to be finding curtain rods and hanging my living room curtains that have been sitting for over a month. And possibly painting our deck
This is fun! I will get pictures. I promise. I tried yesterday but the light wasn't right and them my camera battery died. I'll do a giant AW wit the room as soon as my doors get finished. This week if it stays dry!
There are several things I want to complete this summer, three of which I hope to (nearly) complete this month: the kitchen (the project which is nearly a freaking year old), the family room, and the guest room.
I haven't been around much since the migration, but I think I want to play this month. I have been talking about making our teeny front bedroom into a dressing room/closet for months, and this might just hold me accountable.
This isn't exciting AT ALL, but today I'm going to touch up the paint on our stairway trim. It's been pretty badly beaten up in the past 8 years, particularly with two children, and it bothers me every single time I walk up or down the stairs.
I'm also hoping to replace the hydraulic tube on our storm door. The lock on it is broken so that it can't be held in place.
H is OOT and for some reason this makes me get into the DIY spirit. I have no idea why.

It doesn't have to be exciting, you just gotta GET IT DONE.
We cleaned out the garage last night (no PIPs yet because baby needed to eat and then it was dark) and now I have piles of sh...tuff (trying to curse less lol) in the dining room for me to go through. Some decor that needs hung up (pictures, mostly) and some stuff that just needs to go into a yard sale.
My rug also came yesterday:
Bad instagram photo but I love it.
I hope to finish getting things hung on walls this month. Maybe lol.

I'll post photos of the office! Whoo!!
Also, R tried to help out while I was entertaining friends in the bay area this last weekend, so he hung all the art we haven't put up yet. And he hung EVERY.SINGLE.PIECE too high. Some by a little (he's 6-ft and I'm NOT), some by a lot (there's a piece in the living room that's like, level with the doorway). I'm trying to be thankful, but I wish he'd have waited for my input. Sigh.
ALSO, this month I think if we get a couple not-baking-hot days, I'm going to clean and paint our front porch.

June is garage month. I am spending my sad 100$ a month on shelves for the garage.
I am also planting a ton of free plants (combo of getting from friends and separating or transplanting stuff we have) but that is somewhat random and haphazard. As are most of my yard projects. Oh well.
Oh, I can participate now since we just closed on Friday. We are moving this Saturday so my goal for the month is to unpack :-P It shouldn't be too hard since we are moving to a much bigger space.

Congratulations on closing! You're still in ATL, right?

Thank you, and yes we are! We're moving to the 'burbs and I cannot wait. I never thought I would ever say that in my life, lol.

Today, on my personal day, I went with this theme:
And I got two "omg what are you waiting for?*" things off my list:
Bad garage picture, but I did the bottom half of Monkey's desk chair and the Ikea spice racks (that an old nestie sent me like 2 years ago after a trip to Dallas left me empty handed) for books in Krylon Regal Blue. They're curing in the garage (until tomorrow night? It's 93 degrees outside, and it said up to 80 degrees on the can, so maybe until the weekend lol) and then I'll get them up.
I also took pictures of the remaining (redone) rooms in the house so I can get my bio up for the new house. (And yes, to take those pictures, I did just move clutter around. Kids and husband-who-are-hoarders are messy!)
I can't take a picture yet since it's raining but this month is my deck. I'm hoping to restore it. Last month I redid our front steps - stripped the paint off, repaired the cracks and repainted a fresh new color - it turned out great but the deck project is going to be huge.
Not picture-worthy, but after a 10 day vacation, I figured the shower was good and dry and scraped off old moldy caulk and re-caulked the edge between the base and all if the corners. It took me longer than anticipated because first I only did what had to be done, then liked how clean it looked that I went back and did the whole line.
I told DH, when it needs to be done again, we're remodeling. It's the original shower, from 1979, and it's long overdue!
