I have read The Carrie Diaries and Summer and the City. I was wondering Candace Bushnell has plans for a third novel?

They are about Carrie Bradshaw (the SATC character) before she was 'Carrie'. The first book, The Carrie Diaries is about her senior year of HS. The second, Summer and the City, is about her first summer in NYC...

Charity - they are basically Sex and the City prequels, written for Young Adults.

Not sure. I just read the Carrie Diaries a few weeks okay. I'll read the second one. But the first half of the Carrie Diaries made me think, "Really? You want to be a professional writer? Because you aren't that good."

I think both books came out in the last 5-6 years, though, so she definitely has time to write more.

I think the first came out in 2010 and the second in 2011. I haven't heard anything about a third (and an internet search provided nothing) but the second one ended a lot like the first. With a lot of opportunity for a 3rd book to develop a relationship between Carrie and another character from SATC.

I picked up the first in the bargain bin at a store last week, and am starting it now.
