Name.that.rash! We noticed a bit of a rash last night, but forgot to look this morning. I just got her out of the tub and its definitely worse. It's not raised or scaly. Just red. And of course we're going out of town tomorrow. Look concerning? I hate rashes!
Cam has a rash that looks a lot like that after his bath. Always. But it goes away after a half hour. Did it go away or is it still that red?? And I never know what his rashes are...so no help there
She doesn't seem to e bothered by it, but maybe she was bitten. I got a dose of Benadryl in her and I'll see if I can get her seen before we leave tomorrow.
Has it been particularly warm in your area? It could be something like diaper rash, where the moist skin rubs against itself. Is that the only place it is, or is there some lower on her?

It has been warm. My mom just suggested the same thing. We did go to the pool yesterday evening and she played in her water table this afternoon. It could be where her damp diaper was rubbing since its right at that level.

Do you use the same soap every time? He might be having a reaction to the soap if he gets the rash every time he has a bath.

I actually think its hives. I'm realizing most of the 'rashes' he gets that I can never figure out what they are, are probably hives. The other day we were out to eat, and I wiped his face off with a wipe. His entire face broke out in hives, and I KNEW instantly it was... they were bright red and all over his face. It was so strange! So I think he gets hives for really random reasons?
But I dont think its the soap because he didnt used to react to it like that. Its the same soap we've used since birth. I've only really noticed these marks since like, 9 months??

I would try a different soap...maybe one with no dyes or perfumes for sensitive skin. Kids can develop a sensitivity or allergy after repeated exposure to something. Reactions don't always show up immediately.
